    Strongest p4p college wrestler?

Not as strong as you think. Around 2001 I was in a pub in El Segundo, California. We used to occasionally get celebs in there. Anyway one day Lou walked in. After he'd settled in I walked over and asked, politely, for his autograph. Lou refused. I asked again. Lou refused, again. Finally I told him "Lou, you are either going to give me your autograph willingly, or I'll beat it out of your stupid, deaf ass.". Needless to say Lou was offended, and it wasn't until a well applied hip toss and headlock that he finally volunteered his autograph. At least that's how I remember it...

There is talk of the 133 pound weight class being the greatest of all-time, and I was willing to think it might just be, until yesterday when I was talking to a few good buddies. A couple of wt. class brackets popped up from the past, and I researched them and here's what I found.... 2008 149 pounds 1. Metcalf 1st 2nd 1st 2. Jenkins 2nd and 1st at 157 (we all know how that worked out) 3. Burroughs 3rd 1st and 1st, both at 157 4. J. Churella 8th 2nd 4th 5. Darrion Caldwell 5th 1st 6. JP O'Connor 5th, 6th and 1st 7. Dustin Schlatter 1st, 3rd, 7th 8. Lance Palmer 4th, 8th, 4th, 2nd 8 NCAA CHAMPIONS 22 All-americans All 8 guys were multiple time All-Americans Another wt. class that came to mind in terms of most NCAA titles in the wt. class 1994 158 pounds (Most NCAA titles in the wt. class?) 1. Pat Smith 1 1 1 1 2. Sean Bormet 3 2 3. Earl Walker 3 4. Dan Alar 4 5. Marcus Mollica 1 5 1 4 6. Aaron Moran 6 7. Joe Williams 7 1 1 1 8. Dan Wirnsberger 4 8 2 9 NCAA CHAMPIONS 20 All Americans Maybe someone top one of these, or both!!! Could be lot's more???? Only 6 more days 'til the BIG DANCE, as Ed Aliverti used to say "The Greatest Show on Earth", about 10 years ago, tired of watching Bball between session, and hearing the term March Madness way too many times, I started saying what about March Matness ©!

I mean we landed Frayer, Molinaro, and Graff. With the success of Lewis I see it as a strong job with an upward projection.

To me he looks around 15 or 16 in that video. Again I don't know, maybe they faked his passport. But his weight and skill progression seems to line up with him being 22. This match was at 76kg.

Normally yes, but this is a special case, because LIU Post is merging into an active Division I athletic department (LIU Brooklyn). As a result, they do not have a probationary period in this case, and will be eligible for the EIWA and NCAA Championships immediately. That said, there is very little chance that LIU will have any qualifiers next year. They had one D-2 qualifier this past year, and he's graduating.

They could end up with as many as 9 AAs I think, depending on how the brackets work out. I think Anthony will really surprise a lot of people this year.

Here's my guesses at ASU. 125: Brandon Courtney, low AA/R12 133: Julian Chlebove, if he RS then Josh Kramer, Chlebove could be a mid to low AA 141: Busiello, if he RS then Demison or Crooks, Busiello could be a low AA/R12 149: Maruca, R12 157: Teemer, Mid AA 165: Shields, mid AA 174: A. Valencia, mid AA 184: Z. Valencia, 3rd NCAA title 197: Norfleet, Low AA/R12 285: Hall, anywhere from 2nd to 8th Depending on draws, injuries and how guys adjust going up or down, ASU could really make some noise. I think Anthony Valencia is going to surprise some people.

    Pan Am Team Mystery

I don't think there is a big mystery. At 57, 65, and 70 KG, most of the top tier guys will be competing a few days later at the US Open (because there is no one with a bye to the finals of Final X), so they (Team USA) probably found it much harder to find an elite wrestler willing to make the trip to Argentina and most likely miss out on the US Open in Las Vegas. At 79 KG, Dake is most likely going to compete at the US Open at 74 KG. Others like Dieringer are competing there at 79 KG.

If Chance Marsteller can make it back to the medal stand after everything he did, anyone can including Teasedale. That's no shade a Chance. Would have been easier for him to call it quits several times. Great example of someone turning their life around.

Eh. You understand that most of us aren't Penn State fanboys as much as we are trolls just looking to get a rile out of thin-skin softies such as yourself, yeah? I'm a Michigan homer. I bleed whatever goes through that state or comes from that state. I'll not be naive or neglectful and think that these special souls coming through the NLWC farm system won't be dominating the senior level, as far as domestically, though. It isn't a matter of if, but when. The Taylors, the Retherfords, the Nolfs, the Nickals, etc. They will be world level medalists, the lot of em. It just makes me laugh my arse off when those who are in denial cannot fathom that their dominance will spread, when historically speaking it will. Do I think Nickal will pin Snyder? No. Do I think that Nickal will pin Sad? No. Do I believe he stands a better chance to beat Sad than Snyder? Yes. He has to beat Snyder twice to make the team. He only has to beat Sad once to win gold. Do I also believe his best chance of beating both is pinning them? Yes. So, as I've stated quite a few times, I cannot wait to see Nickal help Sad off the mat at the 2020 Olympic games. Just like I cannot wait to see him help Snyder off the mat twicey at the Oly trials. You know what will get all you feather-willed hipsters up in a panty-bunched ruckus? It isn't entirely unfathomable to see this lineup come the 2020 Oly-games: 57: Nico 65: Zain 74: Nolf 86: Taylor 97: Nickal 125: Varner Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Maybe, but when Nickal attempts to help him up after a pinfall, it will be very satisfying.
