Decided to do a little research based on a previous thread. The list includes the wrestlers by school and year they earned a medal - names in bold indicate an Olympic year. Some names will be duplicates due to the fact that they competed for multiple schools (i.e. Kevin Jackson, although LSU probably doesn't deserve to be mentioned). The number in () next to the school indicates the amount of individuals that earned medals. The earliest year included is 1969. Arizona State (3) 1. Saunders Silver 1996 2. Jones Bronze 1995 3. Just saw her post on Twitter. Apparently it hasnt been the concussions of late and she isnt retiring. "To answer this question I keep getting... I am not retired or retiring. I just had major shoulder surgery after the 2018 World Championships in November. Haven’t been cleared yet, but see you on the mat soon [emoji2246]." Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

Russell I hope I didnt come accross saying Lee is no where near yianni's level because that would be disingenuous on my part. Lee is VERY good and I certainly dont mean to show him disrespect. It's just my opinion that yianni's career to date has been more impressive. Two absolute studs for sure

If you need proof they're still having trouble and it's not just a personal WiFi issue go back and watch the US Open greco finals. Here's an example of a match from the finals that is nearly unwatchable because of some tech problem. https://www.flowrestling.org/video/6461391-67-kg-final-ellis-coleman-armywcap-vs-hayden-tuma-armywcap

    Another Pro Wrestling League

This seems more like a school project than an actual event that will take place. Bad clip art on the website and the aforementioned misspelled "Captain" Weird rules, like using a 45 foot circle (larger than NCAA rules allow), 8 minute match, strange reverse lift scenario to punish stalling Crazy amounts of prize money (over $1.3 million for all duals/championship) First match in two months but only 5 total wrestlers listed. Sanders, Downey, and Becker are legit athletes still competing (one wonders if they know they are part of this). The others are decidedly not still competitive athletes.

It doesnt trigger me that it's a penn state guy, tiger, I actually think grant leeth getting 2 years is also bogus.

    Cassar granted 2 more years!

He was not enrolled at Penn State one of the years he sat out so if he only wrestles next year, that would be the same amount of time in school as any wrestler that redshirted. Does that help or are you still outraged?

It's happened many times before at many different programs. I suspect you are only noticing now because it involves a Penn State wrestler which triggered you.

    Cassar granted 2 more years!

You are 100% correct. But unless the athlete goes into coaching he loses time in the highly competitive professional world. So if staying within the confines of the comfortable world of college is what the athlete seeks, so be it. But I am more impressed with the person who is ready to jump into the fray.

Yianni and Spencer are both all time greats. But clearly I'm not going to convince you that Yianni has had the better career thus far. Let's see if either or both can win 4 NCAA titles, and how their respective senior level freestyle careers work out. Time will tell...

It's possible to prop up Yianni and not hate on Spencer. Some wont accept it, but it is easily possible.

So, Yianni and Nahshon have achieved nothing on the world stage, but Nickal and Nolf should be mentioned...because they too have achieved nothing on the world stage but they might in the future? Yikes. By the way, Yianni has two world gold medals on the world stage (albeit at Cadet), and Garrett has made the US world team. Get back to us when Nolf and Nickal have even come that close to the "world stage."

event was a huge success from Flo's perspective. lots of people viewed and very few issues were reported. we had it on a bar near the HQ and a bunch of wrestlers from all across the country that now live here in Austin came and watched with us. good times. always room for improvement but I enjoyed the hell out of this year's Beat the Streets. Thanks to everyone who tuned in!

If she never wrestles another match, she has nothing to be ashamed of. She doesn't owe anybody anything. The future health of her brain (especially in light of all the long-term CTE damage being discovered in high-level athletes in contact sports) supersedes everything else. Thanks, Helen, for repping our country and sport so well.

I believe the, "concussion stuff" was pretty serious. Even if she never wrestles again, she was great for USA wrestling and she was great for Women's wrestling.
