The international content alone is worth the subscription and then some. Kudos on the UWW contract. I watch literally 10x more Flo than any other video outlet, TV, etc. because of your international coverage.

    Sanderson: the artist

These days, all he does is lock himself in his studio for hours on end and creates the same art over and over..... nudes of Bubba Jenkins. Sometimes it's paintings, sometimes sculptures, but it's always Bubba and he's always nude. I hope this answers your question.

Can't believe no mention of KJ

So there's my answer....only interested in negativity. Thank you for clearing that up. (PS-that talk of Cox possibly being our best pound 4 pound guy came after he had spent some time training with KJ, not before he started training intently with KJ. But don't let that get in your way. And when you talk about it being hard to deny the impact of the RTC influence, don't forget to mention KJ's role in the development of this system and its impact in the age group/elite accelerator program.)

Can't believe no mention of KJ

I am sure he is a great guy but I would be more worried about the loss of Russell than excited about his hire. National coach for 2 cycles and we sucked the entire time. Iowa State got progressively worse each year he was the head coach. Maybe some guys are more suited to be assistant coaches. Hopefully this is the case but his track record really isn't that impressive.

Is JB now the American GOAT?

I'll go for 6 Gold, one every time out. Takes nothing away from Jordan Burroughs or Baumgardner at all. Add in John Smiths recognition for technical excellence and you have a winner.

Hello Wrestling Fans! We are excited to announce that #FCW is officially open for the 2021-2022 season!!! The major change for this year is providing the ability for leagues to be EITHER Head-to-Head scoring, or Cumulative Scoring. Last year because of COVID and the abbreviated schedule, it did not make sense to do the traditional head-2-head format that we did for the prior season, so we developed a cumulative scoring version. Well, now that that is done, we have the ability to provide both versions to our users. Here's our Rokfin (subscription required, but it's our FREE channel) post giving all of the details, as well as rules, and signup: https://rokfin.com/article/6020/202122-Fantasy-College-Wrestling-FCW Here's a link to the #FCW on WrestleStat where you can also find the same information: https://www.wrestlestat.com/fcw

You're third sentence is the absolute truth. I spent little over decade in k-12, most as an AD. Remember a volleyball coach I hired at beginning, he asked if I was to say what is the one biggest obstacle to building something great......without hesitation I said parents. You can't do it without them, but they can easily be the biggest roadblock, especially in today's environment.

Once Spencer Lee gets the ole armbar on Nicky or whoever, it's Goodnight Irene. I'm no expert, but I don't think anacondas have ACLs either do they? And they do pretty well.

Unrelated but I didn't even realize Beloglazov was at Michigan. I wrestled with his son growing up and Sergei the father would occasionally drop by practice and do something astonishing. I remember him doing about 20 one armed chinups. One arm unassisted (no holding it with his other arm). We were all just kids and thought it was cool but he never explained (nor did our coach) exactly who this guy was. The family was humble and kind. Sorry for this tangent. I realize this is completely off topic. I'm having am old man moment.

Tough to give him the credit for that success when the Regional Training Centers got funded and kept most of those athletes training on campuses. Hard to deny the impact of the Regional Training Centers influence. At one time not long ago there was talk of Cox being our p4p best, unseating Kyle Snyder and being the only person on the planet with a chance to beat Sadulaev. Do you think there is a possible argument that Cox has not gotten better?

“Over [Jackson’s] tenure (2017-21), the USA development program had its best world results in its history. Jackson led cadet and junior world team athletes to 43 of 73 possible medals (55 percent), while 40 percent won gold medals.”

Can't believe no mention of KJ

You bring up a valid point but you left out the other side of the coin. I don't know if that was intentional to only focus on the negative or what? His track record as a head coach is not great. His track record of developing talent is phenomenal. We didn't have a good stretch when he was National teams coach. But when he was at OTC as developmental coach, our cadet and juniors have had among the best runs ever at the age group level. Slay, Cox, etc........he's shown he can develop talent, which will be his role at UM and CLWC, as opposed to a CEO type role.

I remember reading a story about a wrestler coming back from the Olympics to coach at Indiana, overstaying his time in the gym one day, and Knight came in with the bball team, and got in the guys face screaming at him. It didn't end well for Knight (but apparently the two became good friends afterwards).

Not sure who I would root for in a match of Suriano v Lee, but I would be delighted to watch them get after it! Probably a one td match if both are healthy, although no disrespect to Lee's top game is intended.

    Austin Mad Man Desanto

Anyone who think desanto has no chance of winning it all is not being honest with themselves. He is very talented, and while a second tier contender realistically, can still beat anyone. He might also decide to bite someone and get ejected from the tournament because he is desanto. We will have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Please no more sig bets that clutter up the board and definitely no sig bets for frequent posters. BTW: A sucked down 125lb Suriano will beat Lee if they wrestle multiple times. With or without Lee's injury concern.

Sig bet, since you are so sure. Nick Suriano will not beat Spencer Lee, in any style, before the conclusion of 2021-2022 NCAA D1 Wrestling Championships AND Lee will outplace Nick Suriano at NCAAs. After I win your signature must say: "Spencer Lee is better than Nicky Skeletor." My signature will say something along the lines of how cool and brilliant you are. We keep signatures until the conclusion of Final X. Obviously if they don't wrestle each other or one of them doesn't wrestle NCAAs it becomes null and void. I will let you decide about Injury Default at NCAAs(if one or the other gets hurt or loses and doesn't wrestle back). If there were betting lines I would say Lee not showing up to NCAAs has a higher chance of happening than Skeletor beating him.

Is JB now the American GOAT?

I'll take Smith. JB is great undoubtedly and deserves to be in the discussion, but Smith went 6 for 6 and retired on top, how many people can you say that about? There are others with more world titles but no one has had a perfect record at that level of competition for so long, even amongst people we would consider overal GOAT (Satiev, Medved, Sadulaev etc). Burroughs isn't even #1 in his own weight class right now. He has never beat Sidakov, lost recently to Dake, hasn't ever faced the guy who beat Dake at the olympics, and split with Chamizo. If you put those guys in a round-robin I'd be rooting for Burroughs but I really don't know for sure who would come out on top (my money would be on Sidakov). I do think there is a lot to be said for the "fewer weights make it tougher argument" but I can't give a guy more points for losing against a tougher field then the guy who won every single time.

    Austin Mad Man Desanto

Tenacity is great but to navigate what that bracket could end up being, he’s going to have to have the technique…and tactics….to get through a number of individuals competing on a world class level, and the defending champ, who has his number. Going to take more than being tenacious.

Is JB now the American GOAT?

This 100%. You can't be the GOAT when you only have one Olympic gold (Burroughs) or zero (Adeline) and there is someone else with more Olympic gold (Smith and Baum, and on the women's side, Helen and Mensah).

Is JB now the American GOAT?

Fair enough, but I think the GOAT trajectory is something like this: 1. Win early in your career, esp against somebody you aren't supposed to beat, eg Burroughs over Tsargush 1. 2. Follow this early success by beating the same guy or equivalent guy again and thus proving that it was no fluke. While the first win mighr have been close, the second should demonstrate separation, eg Burroughs vs Tsargusg 2. 3. Start a streak of dominance while challengers come and go. You beat everybody the put in front of you. 4. At sime point in this domination streak, you overcome some crazy set of circumstances that would lead to.failure for anyother person, e g. Burroughs broken ankle. 5. Old age catches up and you take a loss here and there. You have to modify you style and are reborn and become champion again. It's even better if you do so by beating your nemesis. Edit: Jordan, Ali, Federer, Brady, etc had careers that followed this path.

BSaitiev is my favorite wrestler ever, but he is not as "perfect" (as in mistake-free) a wrestler as Sadulaev. He was way more fun to watch, incredibly creative, a grandmaster of many more techniques than Sadulaev is a master of his key moves, but I am just so impressed with how Sadulaev completely owned Snyder and how Sadulaev keeps solid position every second of seemingly every match. He is so good at being so basic. Maybe having a few kids keeping him up at night will slow him down.

I just self-reported to that website that I had a heart attack, a miscarriage and died three times immediately after getting the Moderna vaccine. It took about five minutes! No verification necessary. Great source.
