Dad (Jim) is a world medalist and led Indiana University to much success in the 1980s before heading into the business world. Some say he was the architect of the Kendall Cross win over Terry Brands.

Grown-ups, children, and even those who are somewhere between like Peter Pan. Anyone can think generally if they want to.

    NIL Issues in Happy Valley?

Are the folks doing the, "general thinking" grown ups?
  10. 1 point
Yep ... it's not listed on track as of right now.

Yet I've been able to watch it for years.

    NIL Issues in Happy Valley?

I guess the general thinking should be - we want wrestlers to be able to MAXIMIZE their NIL which would be a boost for interest into a sport which has had limited financial opportunities in the past due to a lack of professional league.

    NIL Facts

There are 176,000 DI athletes, yeah spreading this money out over that many athletes is ridiculous. By their estimation almost $70 million has been generated by these athletes that they couldn't generate before. How many of those athletes are actively pursuing NIL endorsements?

Really? Show me one news article other than by UWW or Flo. Just one. Otherwise, I will continue my working assumption that you are just a moron.

    American System/Competitive Age

Youth wrestling used to be freestyle through the early 90s. I wrestled Freestyle only from 6 years old until I started middle school and then only wrestles folkstyle in school. When I graduated college in '93 and started coaching, little guys were wrestling folkstyle first and maybe freestyle.

I think they limited teams to only 2 World Team members. so I assume that wasn't possible. I think the league starts in 2 or 3 days in 4 groups in 4 different towns. the league's poster

    Iran Wrestling News

it's hard to find those interviews after more than few days. yeah they said lots of things lol for example Dabir said we are #1 in the World in Greco but in freestyle we are still behind USA and Russia even though they were probably one win (by Amouzad or Elahi) away from winning the team title here is a TV show with R. Geraei and Delkhani as guests. nothing really special though , the host sucks but that's all I could find for now https://www.telewebion.com/episode/2676632 btw if you use telegram you should follow IWF's account. they are always quick in posting anything related to Dabir lol one of his comments before the 3rd day finals (when he is talking to the wrestlers and one of his own guys recorded it) got controversial. he is sometimes too religious in a VERY annoying way. he says something like "let's go and make Shia people happy" and he never apologized for that, only tried to somehow explain it in most of his interviews.

Well, given that we've only had 45 Presidents, unless they count both 22nd President Grover Cleveland and 24th President Grover Cleveland separately... (no, that was NOT a joke)

Absolutely.... with BSU having dropped their program, ISU would be smart to jump into that action IMO. Hire Bruce Burnette (who wrestled at ISU) to oversee the operations and be on the hiring committee. He may be enjoying retirement too much though.

    What move/technique is this?

It may not have a name, and I've certainly never seen it before, but it looked intentional, the way he spun around and figure foured the arm. I would guess it's something he's worked on. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

It doesn’t take a whole lot. The scummier ADs will throw around giant endowment figures to scare people off. “We need $25M” - uh, that’s half your existing athletic budget, bozo. It takes a decent amount plus a welcoming administration.

    What move/technique is this?

if i had to equate it to a specific move i would most likely call it a crucifix... but... it is just using what you can for an exposure... my oldest was at western regionals a few years ago and was up 8-0 on a kid... his opponent was not versed in free... dove in on a leg as if he was going to waste about 30 seconds praying for a stalemate like he was wrestling the stall fest... my son just rotated and hooked his outside arm with his leg and turned him easily for an exposure... kid's "coach" lost his damn mind because he did not understand free techniques any better than his wrestler... i just waited in the chair until he stopped making a fuss and we could shake hands and move on with our lives...

A little late but mention needs to be made of Hancock's great effort to secure for himself a Bronze medal at the 2021 WC's. Congrats G! Heck of an effort. mspart

    NIL Issues in Happy Valley?

Lmao I saw an ad for this show and it looks demonic. But the "pack of virtue signalers" are signaling to an existing audience. They're just doing it ham-handedly. It's also probably a generational thing. You might not have a lot of friends who believe in social justice issues because you're older, but a huge majority of people under 40 do. Most of us (at least that I know) roll our eyes at corporations virtue signaling because we see it for what it is (and also know that all of their actual political money is still going to politicians that oppose a lot of these issues), but it doesn't change the fact that they want our money and are trying to figure out how to best market to us. Just like other corporations use American flag/troop and/or blue collar imagery to market to more conservative audiences. It's not any different. You just think one thing is cooler than the other.

As I have said before: AJ Ferrari looks and acts exactly like a character named AJ Ferrari would look and act in a 70s or 80s teen comedy.
