If the ol' adage, 'you get what what you pay for' is in play. Then the folks who purchased ESPN+ shouldn't be happy. It was a minimal effort on there part and I can imagine it was even worse if you had to eat the scraps off the free table. I was grateful to have the MAC coverage, but the effort seemed lacking.

Something to keep in mind: There is 10 years of data for seeds 1-12 There is 7 years of data for seeds 13-16 There is 2 years of data for seeds 17-32 The Unseeded category varies in size accordingly Note: For placements below 1 and 2 there are multiple paths to the placement, therefore I took the average of the highest and lowest advancement point paths. What does it mean? While the potential spread between a 1 and a 2 seed is 4 team points, over the last ten years it has only been worth 3.26 team points. The spread from 4 to 3 is larger than excepted (-1.46 vs -1 expected). The 7 and 8 seeds are a near push in realized value, but a full team point different in expected value. The 9 - 12 seeds should be of equal value, but the 12 really struggles in actual points, trailing the others by ~1. It is also noteworthy that the 9 - 16 seeds all outperform the expected value (I wouldn't put much stock in the 17 and lower seeds).

The MAC tournament experience this year (as always) is so subpar. NAIA does it better. First off it was advertised that it was going to be streamed on Flo... NOPE. Have to go to the MAC site and leads to Youtube channel for Ohiobobcat tv which wasn't streaming the first half of the first round. Then the camera angles are in the stands not mat side. The ESPN feed is one mat (at the most two). Then who ever is running trackwrestling has screwed it up so bad it is just atrocious. They don't have the right people on the right mats. (they had a HWT match sitting on Mat 3 for over an hour in round 1), Now track is not updating and has been stuck on the same matches for over 25 minutes. I have seen high school tournaments run better and more user friendly. This is freaking pathetic.

Man, I hate it when my panties get wadded. It's usually because the elastic is worn out, time for new ones. That reminds me of a joke: A guy has a nice sports car he always hand washes and dries. After drying it, he always polishes it with worn-out women's undies. A very attractive young lady moves into the house next door.
