  1. *Olde Also, I'm going to leave my typo there for you. :)
  2. Yikes. Man, these guys with the head injuries....hope he doesn't get hurt nay further.
  3. I don't think anybody should be, as it doesn't actually affect the competition. It's a stupid rule that exists only for the purpose of the rule, as near as I can tell.
  4. You guys are missing Ross' point. He's not saying that JB should have been disqualified, but that the rules around weigh-ins are not as hard and fast as you guys are making them out to be. Or at least, SOME of the rules aren't.
  5. Great weight if it all plays out like this. I still have a hard time seeing Hayden at 174, but if the cut was as bad as he says... The arguable favorite is a non-champion. Crazy times. Though, to be fair, if I were picking favorites, I'd pick a healthy Mekhi Lewis.
  6. No, not a dead end, he doesn't have to show that a reasonable person believed KJ would/could override. Just that it's reasonable that this person would be in the position to give you accurate infirmary about the company/group, etc. You see this in criminal law like this: Cop comes to an house, and knocks. Nobody answers. Woman shows up with keys. Cops ask for permission to search the house. If the woman says yes, cops obviously have reason to believe she had the authority to let them in. The search is likely legal. Even if it turns out it's her boyfriend's house and he just gave her his keys 10 minutes ago to run back to get something, and thus had no actual legal authority. It's a slightly different legal principle, but similar logic. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  7. I just paid a bet to@Gantry . He can vouch for me. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  8. You guys are misunderstanding the agent theory. Often in these cases, it's a reasonable person standard. "Would a reasonable person think that a person in KJ's position would give accurate information?" KJ's actual duties don't really matter in that scenario. I still don't think an arbitrator can craft an equitable solution now that the tournament is over, but it's a completely viable path to victory for J'Den. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  9. Are you uncomfortable betting money? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  10. If you think Wick is a better wrestler, why would you not bet me on their individual matches? You keep dancing around this. Anyway, I accept the NCAA bet, void if one of them doesn't compete.
  11. It could be, but my antennae always go up when people are being cryptic.
  12. Based on Gabe's tweets, it seems like there might be some bad blood. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  13. You think Eierman is cringe? You should check out Telford. :)
  14. Yes, thank you for quoting the joke Kemerer already made in the Tweet linked above. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  15. FRL guys said it was down to Michigan and North Carolina. Both make sense in terms of academics. Penn State is obviously a wrestling choice. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  16. So until 2018, you would have ranked Jake Rosholt as a better wrestler than David Taylor? Come on. Anyway, do you accept the bets? If you believe Wick is a better wrestler, this seems like easy money for you. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  17. Gonna be a dogfight in March. Welcome back, Kemdawg!
  18. That's not the discussion we were having. I already conceded that most people would pick Wick's career over Marinelli's, but I said I believe Marinelli is a better wrestler. Ergo the offer. Here's an easy example for you: Jake Rosholt placed 1-3-1-1. David Taylor placed 2-1-2-1. Who would you say was the better wrestler? We both know you'd say David Taylor, but why? Rosholt has better placements. So we both know that the idea that the ONLY thing you judge it on is NCAA placement is BS. It's a pretty simple proposition. I said that Marinelli, despite having inferior NCAA placements, was a better wrestler, you seemed to disagree. I even offered a separate bet that was on your proposed terms. If you feel that you are right and I am wrong, it's a pretty simple bet. Here you go: 1. Each match the two wrestle head to head will be $20 a pop, unless and until one of us concedes the point. 2. Higher NCAA placement next year presuming both wrestle, $100.
  19. What's the Frank Rizzo thing going around now?
  20. It's an extreme bummer, the kid is a great talent. I am slightly relieved that I won't have to be so nervous any time I watch him wrestle with the special headgear, but this is undeniably sad. Lost two big talents to head injuries in the last year, both him and Austin Gomez.
  21. I do not believe that anybody should be putting pressure on Kyle Snyder to do anything. This is and always has been a USAW decision, not a Kyle Snyder decision. Now it's potentially an arbitrator. None of that is on Snyder.
  22. I think that's right. My point about it was that the junior weight was 60 kg, and he missed 61 at seniors. So he made the 60 kg junior world team without ever once (that year) making the weight. Now there were reasons and a confluence of events, but...
