  1. That was the first thing I thought of as well, but you see lots of variations. LM, sometimes did it almost as a shot from open as well, which is tough to do.
  2. Jim Jordan would be a fool to get involved. Let the investigators do their jobs. Disabato sounds like he wants to get paid.
  3. Thanks for the correction. I will edit. Maybe they will match up in New York.
  4. There was another wrestle off today with Licking and Batista, with Licking winning the match. Licking will wrestle in the Nebraska duals with UNK and Chadron State, and they will both travel to the Northeast Journeyman Duals this weekend. Licking rode him entire 3rd period.
  5. Licking and Purington was great match. Licking was very close to a takedown at the end. I think it will go back and forth all year. Licking looked really good, and I hope they hit each other at an open. My guess is they will both travel.
  6. Great topic,...would love to be enlightened, and learn, too. UCLA, Notre Dame, Kansas, Oregon before Phil frik'n Knight....who else ?
  7. The weight cut will be the toughest part.
  8. I hear what you are saying, and I think that is the reason the match is being voided, and wrestled again, rather than correcting the score, and giving the win to Yianni, like should have happened in real time.
  9. The arbitrator ruling on procedure, essentially voided the incorrect call. so ya, he did.
  10. It wasn't just a 'bad call', because that was then compounded by total failure by the officials to allow an improper challenge, and then compounded that by overstepping the scope of the review, going back a minute into the match, and then changing the score, and the outcome. There was nothing else that could be done but the legal system, to get it right. I think they should have corrected the outcome of this match in the arbitration, resulting in a tied series, one win apiece, with one match left to wrestle for the spot.
  11. Why is it at Rutgers, when they are the newest member of the Big10, when Nebraska hasn't hosted, and has been a member 8 or 9 years. What is the upcoming rotation?
  12. Actually, the arbitration righted the incorrect change that occurred at the end of the match by the lead official. Now the guy who actually should have won the match, has to rewrestle it, instead of just being declared the winner. There lies the injustice.
  13. Anyone have a link to the Dogu match between them?
  14. In this case, lawyers who dont even know wrestling could score it better than the officials did from matside, and on the mat that day.
  15. Yanni should still be alive to qualify by finishes the wrestle off with Zain.
  16. Where was Ryan Kaufman. Wouldn't he have been a challenger here?
  17. Kyle, we all know you will peruse this thread. I just gotta say, you are embarrassing yourself with your recent skirt the rules antics.
  18. Everyone, including you, knows the score wasn't correct. Fix it....do the right thing.
  19. Then the only thing they can do at this point, is have the integrity to rule the result of the match null and void, based on the scoring being wrong, and wrestle match 2 again, and then 3 if needed.
  20. He is cutting down from 300 now, and he and his Dad are heavily into weight training, so my guess is he will play over 320. I would love to see him wrestle, but not in the cards. Does anyone know if he and Stevesen matched up on the high school circuit, Are they just 1 year apart, or two?
  21. LOL, no, and not even a big Yanni, vs Zane fan either, I support them both,.... I just dont want to see what we saw in those matches. These guys are putting their whole lives into this, and they deserve better from the judges that what happened. If nothing else happens, I hope the head official is never allowed to officiate above a kids level match again.
  22. The part of the first match I questioned the most was 2 and 2 for Z, when it could have been at least 2 for Y, so 6 or even an 8 point swing. I think the head official at the table has a picture of Zain on his bedroom ceiling based on his decisions in both matches.
  23. Dont forget the potential NFL career if he continues to develop, which wont be a problem physically since Zach Duval is one of, if not the best strength and conditioning guy in CFB, along with Tony Funoti as a position coach..
  24. Everyone's attention is on the 2nd match that the officials totally botched, but Zane won the first match with some pretty sketchy, and questionable calls as well.
