  1. Why were Hall's opening points 2 rather than 4?
  2. Hall would have found a way to beat him, regardless of who is doing the shooting. I love Valencia's new over the top, cartwheel offense. Flashy and lots of swag.
  3. I received a PM from our Russian friend. He asked me to forward it in Russian, Американцы не любят правду , что я говорю , и именно поэтому они выгнали меня . Дагестан является лучшим. Все другие едят гамбургеры и жареная курица в то время как они считают огни на потолке, братан
  4. track has them with live updates and brackets. Not as popular as the 47 weekend youth tournaments, but if you search for "Qualifier" it pops right up Not sure if you can post a link directly to a tournament, I think you have to click through.
  5. Oliver Pierce cut some serious weight for this tournament. All the way down to 66/145.
  6. Terry Brands, Cary Kolat and IMar were the subject of interesting documentaries. Plus, the journalist that revealed why the coach of a prominent B10 program was canned deserves mention.
  7. Only the champion from each bracket qualifies for next weekend? I'll go with Hochstrasser, Pami, Marsteller, Winn, Zabriskie and Johnson
  8. The coaches have a captive audience. A coach can conditionally release him or not release him at all. He can yank his scholarship for the upcoming year and the athlete's obligation remains.
  9. If he was going to transfer, I think he would have done it at the semester. I don't see Smith releasing him and transferring now leaves him only two NCAA tournaments.
  10. Are advancement points awarded for winning a finals match? I think Carl scored 107.5
  11. I doubt he would qualify for NCAAs. 12. Must not have the name Bubba.
  13. Yes, he is very tough.. He had Metcalf on the ropes.
  14. Batriov wrestles for Bahrain now. His opponent is the same one Metcalf wrestled in Vegas? He is pretty good
  15. Must reside in area code 215
  16. Is wrestling even declining? For every parent out there telling someone they can't wrestle because of cauliflower ear, there are a hundred kids wrestling with dreams of a nasty case of cauliflower ear and a knee surgery to complement their piercings, gauged ears and tattoos. BTW, has anyone ever seen a gauged AND caulifowered ear?
  17. I don't think the national coach should be spending his time with the Xs and Os of coaching little Johnnies. He should be fund raising and doing outreach, setting up infrastructure in Colorado Springs and the regional training centers, pushing US issues to UWW and making sure there are coaches available to have a direct effect on individual wrestlers. Apart from passion for the sport, this person doesn't even need to be a wrestler.
  18. Point taken, but it is 607 miles from Clovis, CA to Tempe, AZ.
  19. I enjoy your antics. It might have something to do with this:
  20. IDK what the rules actually are, but I suspect situation 1 is not a takedown and situation 2 is in no way, shape or form a takedown. We should award exposure independent of takedowns.
  21. OSU is going to join Iowa in the "What are they going to do?" club soon. Its been ten years since their run and there isn't another one in the pipeline.
  22. There are a few. Thanks for the info. I find the pattern with Gwiz, Nelson and Mocco interesting. Snyder is on pace to continue it.
