  1. I believe the fake Dake is now 0-5 in fantasy matchups as well.
  2. After reading your (TBar) back & forth posts with MSU158 in some of the other threads, my guess is that you will probably not be getting the benefit of the doubt with him anymore. Anyway, it was good for a laugh.
  3. Steve Dutton. Always seems to fly under the radar, even in this thread. For all the unfair comments he's received on this board, Gajales as well. Glad to see him end his collegiate career like that.

EDIT: How could I forget James English. What a storybook ending to his year. I think both he and Joey Dance should be awarded co-recipients of the Dustin Minotti award for 2014.
  5. Pennsy, Think your right. It was Cumberland Valley, wasn't it, right next to Central Dauphin?
  6. Excellent point. I was far more accomplished in wrestling than LAX in high school, but chose to play LAX in college, because it is just plain fun. It's also outdoors, and played in nice weather (late spring to early summer). To me LAX was flat out fun, whereas Wrestling was internal satisfaction, based on accomplishments and work ethic.
  7. As a Hofstra alumni, I was glad to see JT mention John Massa above. Actually, our only N.C. was a guy named Nick Gallo, way back in 1977. Anyway, as a Pride fan, I came to admire the grit of Dustin Manotti of Cornell. Massa and Manotti had some great matches against one another, and you could never get a good read on who would win the match beforehand. I'm not sure what Manotti's placings were at PIAA states, but he was a collegiate all-American at least twice, if not more (need a Cornelian confirmation on that). His last year he lost his 1st match in the NCAA tournament, and won 7 in the consolation round to place 3rd.
  8. I respectfully disagree. Everything that guy exhibited was out of pure joy, without any chest bumping, fist pumping, or in your face type of gestures. That's why is was so hilarious, and fun to watch.
  9. Very impressive. That victory dance was even more impressive, - priceless :-)
  10. Jakester, Do you remember Marty casting doubts about Dake's future after he lost to Ian Paddock in the NYS finals, as a JR? I do. It wasn't until he started doing well again in college, that he jumped on the bandwagon again and began claiming he was an expert. Do you also remember him & hollyboc claiming Taylor would never amount to much, and that all the buzz about him was ridiculous. I do. Taylor is 2,1,2 so far, with a Hodge trophy under his belt. I have a feeling he might be 2,1,2,1 after the upcoming season. Not to shabby.
  11. Didn't Garay make some noise at Hvy back in the day?
  12. chris conti - spladle dake was winning 13-2? just a guess though Even more interesting. Who did Dake wrestle before meeting up with Conti? Hint: Kyle was 33-0 going into that match, and the other wrestler was 25-4, and from Duanesburg (Albany NY region) No takers, huh? It was Amy Whitbeck. She was in 10th grade, Kyle was in 9th.

  14. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
  15. "Me thinks thou does protest too much". What's your agenda?
