Yeah, Burroughs was amazing his senior year.  I'd pay a monthly pay check to see him and Nolf in both their prime Folkstyle.  I think I'd take JB.  He won worlds the next year.

Burroughs was a FORCE in college. No one dominates Burroughs those last two years

Agree everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter how clueless it is. Nolf is not beating Burroughs let alone dominating him.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe I've seen Elizabeth Warren in the stands cheering on the Hawks, a distinguished person of color according to Harvard University and her own claims.

Nebraska should be top ten and could very well be in the mix for top five. Nine starters return (almost entirely underclassmen), RS Labriola will be inserted into lineup somewhere (beat two medalists at 174 this year) and top incoming recruit Thomsen should take the starting spot at 125. So assuming Renteria can make weight at NCAAs and everybody continues to improve, this team should be one to watch for the next few years.

    I'll say:
    1. Penn State
    2. Iowa
    3. Ohio State
    4. Oklahoma State
    5. Cornell/Nebraska/Michigan/Mizzou (these four seem pretty interchangeable)

You have obviously never been a ref/official/umpire. Every good one knows no matter how close to the action you are the very best place to make calls is very high up, far away from the action in the stands and preferably after a few beers. Helps even more if you are really loud and obnoxious - you get style points for your calls.

It would be better to wrestle D2 or D3 or NAIA than sit on the bench and wrestle in opens for 4 yrs in D1, IMO. I would say that about any sport. Better to play than sit.

Very good choice as many others on the list would be. Not sure why they pick the winner before NCAAs though? You would think how your team performs at the biggest event of the year should have some bearing on the coach of the year award. Highly doubt it would happen this year but what if a team would pull some major upsets and beat out PSU and tOSU for the title. It would be a travesty to not have their coach as coach of the year.

St. Cloud State seems to be the odds on favorite of winning the D2s (yet again) with all 10 weights qualified this year. No other team qualified more than seven. However, Notre Dame College (Ohio) has seven qualifiers, four of whom are the top seed in their brackets. St. Cloud has three guys seeded in the top five. Can their 10 guys make up enough points to earn their third team title in four years and seventh team trophy in the last eight years (two Championship team trophies and four Runner-ups in the last seven tournaments)?

52 teams out of 58 qualified wrestlers to the 16 man bracket tournament.

In D3, it's the Wartburg show! Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! Nine qualifiers, of which five are top seeds in their brackets. Stevens Institute of Technology, inthe NYC suburb of Hoboken, NJ, has two studs at 133 and 141 earning top spots in their brackets. Ohio's Baldwin Wallace qualified nine of their ten weights, yet only two of their nine guys snuck in the top 10 for seeding. Does Augsburg or any other team have enough firepower and/or great seeds to challenge the Knights from earning their 14th team title, third in a row and seven in the last eight years?

66 of the 104 teams qualified student-wrestlers for the tournament with 18 man brackets.
