krippler reacted to TBar1977 in 1pm session
Wow. Evans took a shot in the first period. Almost scored on it too.
2nd period ride and Evans goes straight to the ankle. Iowa style. Re start, and right back to the ankle. Yet another re start, yet another drop right to the ankle. Yawn. Wake me up when he does something that isn't really stalling in disguise.

Evans is ruggedly determined to get that 2-1 dec for the team.

krippler reacted to hammerlockthree in The Iowa way
For it to be an evans tribute he would have to squeak out a win against a huge underdog, and celebrate like a tool after.

Vak - I often appreciate your posts and respect much of what you say but your inability to call a spade a spade here is simply disappointing.

krippler reacted to silver-medal in Please Understand Regarding Flo
Flo has spent weeks hyping this bout in order increase subscriptions. Then they were unable to deliver.
Three steps:
1) Put something on their homepage acknowledging that there were issues with the broadcast and offering an apology.
2) Send an email to all subscribers with the same apology.
3) Do something to make sure future broadcasts don't have these issues. A month's free service? Something.

krippler reacted to hammerlockthree in Lizak Thrown To The Wolves
There is nothing wrong with putting lizak out there. They have 5 seniors, may not contend next year, need to put the best team out they can. He can redshirt next year.

krippler reacted to OtisCampbell in MINNESOTA @ PENN STATE
Well McItosh should not be dropping to the leg if he doesn't want to get kicked in the head. Maybe that should be the rule. Free kicks to the head if you drop down to a leg.
I am game for that.

. Accurate announcing not lies. If you're listening on a PSU radio you'd have a totally inaccurate feeling of how the meet has gone so far. -

krippler reacted to MSU158 in Iowa St. vs Virginia Tech
I don't see this as an upset at all. ISU matches up with VTech very well. The only match where a lesser ranked opponent won was at 174 and that is the 2nd time Weatherman has beaten Epperly.
ISU is a better team than many on here believe. KJ gets, unfairly in my opinion, too much heat for not matching up to ISU under Sanderson. He benefited his first year with a 3rd place finish with mostly Sanderson recruits. Still, the next 2 years he was penalized as that same cupboard became bare. Now that the team is all his, I think he has done well. He is at a school that will always be 2nd fiddle to Iowa(just ask Sanderson why he left) and even Iowa is fighting to stay Top4 consistently. Also, he has to compete with another in-state school rejuvenated by Schwab. If he can stay Top12 consistently you can't ask for more. You can count on one hand the coaches that could/should do better and they are all at programs they wouldn't leave to go to ISU.
ISU at NCAA'S under KJ:
2010: 3rd
2011: 20th
2012: 35th
2013: 11th
2014: 12th
2015: ?

krippler reacted to mlbruem in houdashelt vs kindig
John Smith parades around - runs on to the mat at one point - argues everything to the point of the absurd - GOOD SHOW by him - but
by not sending Kindig out he really just told his team - WE GIVE UP! WE QUIT! WE ARE NOT EVEN GOING TO GIVE IT A SHOT!

krippler reacted to silverback in Pfarr's last two TDs against Abounader in Minny vs. Michigan dual (rules question)
It's amazing to me how Minnesota keeps getting all the breaks while no other team does. I think the ref's all are paid off by the Minnesota coaching staff. What do you guy think?
