    No Teasdale?

    Not sure

    Nebraska at Penn State

I think Nolf turns it up a notch when he wrestles Berger. I don't think Nolf is letting that loss in HS slide. Berger barely beat Deakin and we saw what Nolf did when he wants to make a statement. Berger will just try and survive and try an limit Nolf's scoring.

    No Teasdale?

The answer could be Ray Brinzer. late entry in B1G tournament for Iowa, Not seeded. May have wrestled No 1 seed and former HS teammate first match and won. I can't find interview on Flo where he tells the story. Found this instead https://books.google.com/books?id=bMmnDgAAQBAJ&pg=PA105&lpg=PA105&dq=ray+brinzer+unseeded+in+big+ten+tournament&source=bl&ots=1ng5Qb10eS&sig=-SbKlk7lxv5-8r21Z7uqjCmBM-Y&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiPlvKaiPPfAhVQ1qwKHf3NACwQ6AEwCnoECAgQAQ#v=onepage&q=ray brinzer unseeded in big ten tournament&f=false

    Excape? WTF?

eXcape and eXpecially - Ticks me off, really annoying. The Iowa Hawks commentator specifically deserves mention. Would be much worse if Iowa wrestlers scored TD’s in bunches instead of their go-to push a lot offense.

Port vs Carter in Midland finals is one of my favorite all time
  7. It kind of pains me to say this as a PA homer and a natural non fan of duh OSU but, Myles Martin might be the most improved from last year to this year. He is wrestling with more confidence and is wrestling very clean and crisp. I think he is only getting started and has more potential than he is showing which will come out as his confidence grows. The real improvmnt isn’t in skill,he has always had it. The improvement is in his confidence so he is opening up more and showing greater skill and potential. He could be a future star on the international scene if he can maintain at this rate. He seems like a nice guy and has carried himself with class his whole career thus far. With that said, I hope Rasheed can win at least 1 of their matchups this year.

    Fave non-favorite teams

Favorite team PSU. After that I don’t prioritize by team, I follow PA wrestlers, then great wrestlers from any team, even the couple good ones on duh Ohio State

    The Southern Scuffle Thread

I am or was looking forward to listening to Cliff Fretwell on the mic. I think the commentators for Flo are fine, no problem with any of them, a few are exceptional but Cliff has a different flair that I look forward to. I would love to hear him on FloZone. Am I the only one? Any Fretwell fans on here? (this post is not an invitation to bash the guy if you do not like his style)

Seriously, what do the certs actually mean, it’s more administrative than actual. They just write in what they want. Pantaleo got certed and descended down to 149 pretty quickly don’t ya think?

    Teasdale entered in Scuffle Attached

This situation is really odd. Is Teasdale that big of a screw up or is Cael just manipulating and having fun with everyone? If it’s the former then that is truly unfortunate. I hate seeing these talented kids pick the wrong lane in thefork in the road. if it’s the latter, it’s frustrating but kind of funny. Cael and team isn’t open to media but he’s obviously doing something right.

See, there are reasons why I ask. i had a hunch that Cael was holding out on us.

    Pantaleo to 149

Pantaleo looked lean at 152. I’m curious about the cert process....what’s the point. This isn’t directed at Pantaleo specifically but the process in general.

    Barstool Sports Vincenzo Joseph Interview

It cracks me up when some people say that Cael is only winning because he is a great recruiter. Cael seems to get quite a lot out of his blue chippers. Turns out the guy can coach pretty well too. It was good to hear Ben Askren also make positive comments on Cael’s coaching abilities.

    Meanest guys on the mat

Jackwebster -I agree 100% about Akerly. He was feared in youth wrestling, HS and college. I don’t think he was picking on you, that is just how he wrestles. He was a weight or 2 above me in HS and he is about the only person I feared. He was the most brutal leg rider I have ever seen. He is right up there with Pifer. (Not spelled right) Jimmy is now one of the best club coaches in the WPIAL and is the best coach for instruction for riding legs.

I would bet that RBY and Fix have practiced together quite a bit since they spent lots of time on our national teams.

    Penn State vs Arizona State

I credit the official. Great non call in the most anticipated match when the score was 0-0. The official talked to them and got them under control and the rest of the match was clean. I think everyone gets too caught up in trying to predict every match. Just enjoy the wrestling. I am a PSU fan but fully understand that this match doesn’t mean much. Ziahd is a great wrestler and this match will not have an effect on his confidence. Z still leads the lifetime series vs Hall and is capable of winning again in March. Didn’t Z ride Mark “like a mule” also. As a fan I am looking forward to their next great match. Also, the turning point was that Hall hip pop to both get Z out of scoring position and set up his re-attack. Reminded me of Nate Carr’s hip pop, difference being Nate’s was significantly more powerful and would throw opponent back on their heels. RBY is better than I thought and seems to be improving with each match. Excited to see him against the top 4 in the weight class, especially vs Micic and Fix because all 3 are fast and have quite a broad range of slick attacks. And, we are all fortunate to watch Nolf. Credit to his smart opponent who knew exactly when to bail out or score would have been much worse. Might be new trend for Nolf opponents, I hope not though. Nolf doesn’t look strong but he must be crazy strong.
