Garrett Scott (rip) was top 3 most talented wrestlers I have ever been around. Pulled rs at PSU freshman year. Flamed out at the end. R12. Then off mat issues derailed the rest.

I'm talking about Spencer Lee, of course.  He looks unstoppable and will roll to his 3rd straight NCAA title and the Hodge this year.  I think he becomes the greatest Hawkeye wrestler ever and as a PA native, that makes me quite proud!

the only option for that on a streaming device is in a newer model of Apple TV. Get one of those and you’ll be set up just like this with all eight mats

I would like to contact ESPN and ask them to reestablish the 4 mat view option for the NCAA tournament since I will be watching from home.  The tournament is way easier to watch with 2 streams on 4 mats on w big screen TV’s than constantly switching mats or managing the “too many streams” error.
I am curious if this option is important to other fans watching at home and would you pay for the option on ESPN+.

Sign up for your week or two free of YouTube TV (app for some tv stream devices or just watch on your phone) and you’ll get the Olympic Channel as part of the live channel package.  On top of that you can place the shoes on your watch list so the video will be saved like DVR for you to watch later if you couldn’t see it live.  I’m guessing that options on the trial features too (if not you still can catch it live at least).  Hulu, Sling, or another Internet tv stream service may have a similar trial offer which includes the Olympic Channel, though I’m not sure which ones also have the free record feature.  I dropped cable this summer and picked up YouTube TV and have no complaints.  Saves me a ton of cash and I get more channels I like now compared to before.

    Guys I lost to:
John Smith - Oklahoma State - the low single makes him much faster than he looks. You catch yourself at beginning of match thinking “this guy doesn’t look that big”, while is knee locking you on a low single. There is absolutely no way to slow him down or stall on him unless you have great hips.
Pat Santoro - Pittsburgh- Rips your arms off - only guy you ever thought about not getting hurt and wonder if you will be able move your shoulders at age 50.
Sean O'Day - Edinboro - Strong as **** - have no idea how he made it down to 134 after going 142. You can shoot on him, but his guns were strong.
John Fisher - Michigan - athletic but you can score on him
Larry Gotcher - Michigan - huge for weight
    Joey Bales - Northwestern

A few guys I beat who were Big Ten finalists.
Brad Gintert - Ohio State, Brian Smith  - Michigan State

All in HS, blew out shoulder before Sr. year in HS
Sean O'Day - NCAA Champ for Edinboro - Lost twice - pretty  close matches
Bubba Strauss - Ohio State champ, Went to Iowa. Lost in St. Ed's finals. Worst 6-0 ass whooping of my life.  Link below to Spiral ride.
Craig Olmstead - Match where I blew my shoulder out. Defending world (?) and National Greco champ and I was leading when I fell back and posted with arm. (Had to be leg foul btw)

Paul Keysaw - NCAA Champ - Won, match not close
Beat a few PA state champs in FS (Reed and Kennedy) and pinned NY state champ (Billups) in folkstyle and a bunch of PA placers. Never made it to PA states though. Headcase with confidence/pressure issues.
Jimmy Carr was my coach in 7th and 8th grade, Nate would come practice at his alma matre to work with brothers Solo and Mike when on break from Iowa State. Those guys showed me what wrestling the next level felt like. Humiliating, demoralizing and baffling. Incredibly talented and were the nicest guys off the mat.

Sounds like we were around the same era.  That’s an impressive list of grapplers that you’ve competed against.
I didn’t wrestle many NW Pa guys, except a kid from Redbank and another from Hickory. I see Sean O’Day every once in a while, down here in Va

Not sure why people are so hard on this kid. He seemed honest and even humble. No w5estler gets to NCAA finals or even AA without confidence in themselves. Interviewers ask the question and the kid gets criticized for his honest answer. I was bummed when he left PSU but Rutgers is simply a better fit for him. Suriano was dissed pretty bad at dual by both Desanto and Iowa coaches. His actions after match were not as bad as how Desanto acted after dual.
