  1. The Rutgers 197 was out of control after his stunning 1 pt victory. He was pointing, yelling, and sticking his tongue out at people in the stands. Gooddale finally told him to sit down.
  2. Gopher wrestlers move out of the dungeon. https://www.twincities.com/2019/01/04/gophers-wrestlers-glad-to-leave-dungeon-but-want-to-retain-grit-of-old-practice-space/?fbclid=IwAR3M7JUpi9fQSPh8c9MdrV_ymkiAfzmbK8gxBpyxwC-BLozAKGHjsvmDfUA
  3. They need big Ben Berhow off the food truck and back in the room.
  4. The heckler really seemed to be "Gunning" for Stoll. Said he should have shot himself in the head. Brands showed uncharacteristic restraint.

  6. I've had 2 devices going at once just last month for some of the open tournaments. Has it changed since then?
  7. Minnesota over Fresno State 31-6.
  8. Ryan Lewis 133 Minnesota was a backup to Brett Lawrence in 2001 (10 AA year for MN). The next year he was runner up to Johnny Thompson, OSU.
  9. Minnesota gets a 35-6 win against South Dakota State in front of a big crowd at Maturi Pavillion.
  10. Who was Father Christmas on the Purdue bench? :)
  11. First practice in the new wrestling room!
  12. I think you underestimate what a great equalizer a full weight class is in college against a quality opponent. There good reason why you don't see weighing in lower and bumping up very often.
  13. That's correct. I coached against the Flaherty brothers in high school, and this wasn't a surprise. The 2 younger brothers (twins) were always quite a bit better than their older brother.
  14. I'm guessing Smith starts tomorrow against Minnesota. If he is at 184 I like that match-up better for Minnesota than Geer.
  15. They took him off the roster, is all I'm going by.
  16. Dhesi isn't wrestling collegiately any more.
  17. Flo wrestling has the brackets. Nebraska and SDSU were there, but Neb. left most of their starters at home.
  18. 7 champs, 14 finalists, 5 thirds for Minnesota at the Daktronics. A small field at this tourney, with some questions remaining. A good start to the season none the less.
  19. They don't do wrestle offs per se. The coaches get an idea from practice and then the early opens like the Daktronics help settle lineup questions. 165 and 197 seem like the biggest questions, at least in my mind.
  20. I see now why the buckeyes recruited Kerkvliet.
