I would be up 8-0 within the first 30 seconds, and proceed to pin him with a spladle.  lol

Gadzhimagomedov can make 74kg, although he didn't look very impressive at the Ivan Yarygin, he lost 1*-1 against Ramazanov (who was equally as unimpressive as Akhmed).

Although, I am sure the Olympic squad is confirmed for 57, 74 and of course 97; Gazimagomedov is the second best, Zhamalov (up and coming) has olympic potential for 2024.

Uguev is our best guy at 57, no other guys in his weight class (in Russia) really come close.  Tuskaev has defeated Uguev before; although, Uguev exacted revenge last year.  Uguev should be our guy at 57; otherwise, we'd be screwed out of a medal at 57 (although Tuskaev has a decent shot).

Yes, you are correct on your points above.  But let me point out an interesting change in attitude.  In Soccer, for years, Qatar fielded a national team that was a collection of Brazilian, African and other nationalities that they had paid to become Qatari citizens,  and try to compete with the regional powerhouses.
About 8 years ago, they hired a very qualified Spanish coach who launched an academy for the youth, and coached their U21 team.  Last year, they made him the national coach, and they shocked everyone by winning the Asia cup.  They destroyed Japan in the finals.  They had very few purchased foreign born players on their team, and most of their players were the people who went through the youth academy.
My point is that even a small country can try to build it's youth, instead of buying foreign players.  It's more effective, scalable and certainly more honorable.

I know none of these will happen in the near future, but here is one thing I wish each wrestling country would do differently.

Russia - Get hard vigilant against juicing, and get rid of it once and for all.  Russian wrestlers are already very good, no need for juicing USA - Get rid of folkstyle wrestling at the college and high school levels (at least college levels) , and replace it with Freestyle wrestling.  I guarantee US would do much better in world championships and olympics Iran - Stop the stupid policy of avoiding athletes from Israel.  Go back to the days before the revolution where Iranian wrestlers pinned Israeli wrestlers left and and right Countries that suck in wrestling (e.g. Bahrain) .  Instead of paying good wrestlers from other countries to change their citizenship to yours and wrestler for you, do what India did, invest in some good foreign coaches, and turn your program around.

Yes, I was attempting to be funny, and meant he came up with that comment in the laundromat, since he keeps on talking about laundry.  I think he knows very well I never said that, and is just trying to make up crap.

Lol, I never said Russians are clean, I said it's absurd to state that ALL Russian wrestlers are juicing.
I also never said I was fine with doping.  I said it was cheating and sleazy.  I did say that once someone is caught cheating, and is punished appropriately, I am willing to assume they are clean until proven otherwise.
    Get it right!!
I also don't understand your obsession with laundry, but perhaps we should not discuss that now.

I'm sure it will come as a great shock to all of you, but 3x World Champion Bilyal Makhov has tested positive for a growth hormone from a sample taken at the recent Matteo Pellicone tournament.  Who could've guessed?  Probably doesn't have any real relevant impact on the world stage, but I'd guess that'll be the end of his comeback.

Agree with him or not, Khuzin gives life to many of these discussions.  Would be a duller site without him.

He wrote something like 'and your family is feminine?' because my username is SidakovA (Russian family names end with -a/-aya only for girls), but I wrote it because sidakov is my family name and my first name's initial is A lol

I watched it, and love that he speaks out for the sport and gives it exposure, but it seemed pretty clear he doesn't really "keep up" with it.
From the not knowing the current weights, to not knowing the names. and what not, despite having it sitting right there in front oh him.

@Lurker I mean he is a good arguer, so it sounds like it makes sense, but lots of u23 champs get handled. But in Bo's case he did destroy Tsakulov, who is a legit Senior level wrestler, so yeah he is a "World Champion" but whether it's Military, Cadet, or Junior.... blah blah blah... it 100% matters when we are talking about senior level tournaments.

    Ok I'm done

Some guy from San Marino qualified the same weight so if Downey couldn’t get it done then he probably would let team USA down again. I think he’s made his last team, I hope he enjoyed it.

I wish him the best, and don't think the knee will be a problem. Really hope he can get this weight qualified for J'den.
Glad we won't have to see blue dragons or whatever his dad's new screen name is come on here and make excuses for why PDIII didn't get the weight qualified.
