Coach_J reacted to Cletus_Tucker in US wrestlers -- do they dope
    Nom,

I would bet my farm there's no state sponsored doping program in the USA.   You are a bit naive to believe it's not happening at the highest levels in the USA.   Old Dirty would be a great source.   One guy in the mix, and he's telling you about 10% of the guys at OTC are doing it, and  it is likely much higher elsewhere outside of OTC.

I've been aware of numerous wrestlers from as low as high school, all the way up to the Olympic level, who have made doping part of their winning formula.   It's part of competitive sports, and especially at the elite levels.

Sending men other than the #1 guy is nothing new in the politics of Russian wrestling.  My friend Miron Kharchilava won the Soviet Junior Nationals and was set to go to the Junior World Championship.  Or so he thought.  A few days before he was to leave, he was informed by the Russian wrestling authorities that his travel documents weren't "approved" and the #2 man went.  He later learned the #2 man's coach and backers paid some hefty "incentives" for their man to make the trip in place of Miron.  True story.

The Russians I've trained with like to play a kind of basketball hybrid--perhaps this is what he means.  At the Atlanta Olympics, they brought a basketball onto the mats and played a kind of controlled team sport passing the ball around and rough-housing.  They could not take out each other's legs or do idiotic torquing of limbs, etc.  It was fun to watch Karelin pounced on by a number of the lightweights.  All meant to break a sweat and give some relief from hard wrestling and drilling.  Very smart.

Why is he drilling? Oil and natural gas prices are in the sewer. He'll never see a return on his investment.

Someone seems a little sour that they got caught. Not our fault your widespread and systemic cheating got found out. Maybe Mamashivilli can get some of his mob buddies to clean up the sport.

I do know where he stands but he doesn't represent my district. The article would have been good if it stuck to wrestling and his family legacy in the sport and stayed away from the tea party stuff.

Nothing special about him as a Congressman.  I watched his questioning of Cecile Richards - came across like a third grader, not impressive, didn't appear very bright.  Heck of a wrestler though.

Respected congressman...gave his SOTU ticket to Kim Davis. Dude is stuck in the dark ages. Many ohio politicos (in both parties) find his hilljack views a little backwards...has an uber-conservative district so the GOP keeps him around
