Has nothing to do with hate, just principles and protecting the sport against phonies.  Nike and its founder have proven no great friends of wrestling, and are using wrestlers to line their pockets while at the same time destroying a once solid program like Oregon's.  John DuPont was a great supporter of wrestling, too, right?

Win by injury default?  I don't think that strategy crosses the minds of honorable compeititors.  Maybe i am just a big wimp  ;-)

The only thing that is truly uncertain is how Bo could of done on top for a full 2 minutes.

Jordan was way better and should have won.

The mistake was when he pulled a Snyder (mental gaffe) and chose bottom to start the 2nd. Not being able to change choice to neutral cost him the match.

Bo looked lost at times.  Why switch up to the waist on the sweep single finish directly into the opponent's whizzer--twice?!?  And the time to take neutral was the beginning of the second, which he tried to do after he had already committed to bottom.  With plenty of time on the clock, two escapes (when he chain-wrestled), a stall warning on top for his opponent, neutral would not have been my choice.

In order to finish shots, you need to TAKE SHOTS!!!

At the cut away, you can see Brands running out of the arena with the trophy throwing his middle finger at Ryan.

I thought very gracious and classy.  Said his team needed to finish takedowns, and that if he had to share the title with anyone it would be with former teammate Tom Ryan.  Two weeks!

Well, PSU reloads next season with Nolf, Nevills, the redheaded Texas kid, Mega and Retherford plus the rest of their guys will continue to improve.  Cael could have chosen to go after a title this season but decided that would be short sighted.  So, they've "settled" for being a top 10 squad for one season.

As for J. Rob, you've got some b--ls, Mister Pie.  That guy has done more as a competitor, coach and entrepreneuer in wrestling than most of us could dream of accomplishing in any endeavor.

I would love to see Missouri win it this year. I also would not mind if Ohio State won it this year, mainly cause I really like Logan Stieber. That guy is all class.

I can respect your opinion, but the kid's a defending champ and I'll give him a champion's chance.  Not much of one, but give him two weeks.  I've seen crazier things happen.

One of many--showed no class doing it as always.  I was there when he won.  He practiced what he preached--being an A$$ hole. If you respect him just because he won a "Gold" that is your choice.  Pretty shallow to me.
Many have won Gold and showed class all of their lives.  Brands is not one of them.

Brands.  SO much class.  "You have to be an A$$ hole"... What a great role model for kids.

I've always wondered if the majority of world class wrestlers would rather compete all their bouts in one day, or spread it out over a couple of days. Could be some advantages/disadvantages either way I suppose. Would love to hear opinions on this from some of the world class wrestlers.

Nonetheless, congrats again Jordan Burroughs! Just like the good old days, "all We see is You winning gold".

If you look at the wrestlers that "come to wrestle". They are the ones that are dominant. They dominate because they "take chances".
As a competitor I found that the more I "went for it" the easier things got. Not to mention how much more fun wrestling became.

Good point.  Perhaps my analogy is off base.

Every decision on the playing field/wrestling mat has risk and reward.  My point is that a defensive, low risk style of wrestling is still wrestling, entertaining or not.

Nailed it.  In an era with great technical wrestlers like Dake, Taylor, etc., no need to hand out stall points to guys who take no chances and just push and shove.  Like Askren said, people have figured out the game; now, you can complain, or you can up your game to include more technique and risk taking or expect more of the same.  Sorry, this one ain't all on the refs.

Yes, Arsen vs JB would be great, but which style? Arsen commented about JB's speed.

Yeah, I know the belts don't mean that much right now, but still enjoy the huge names, and still think there's a lot of pride and effort in these match-ups.

Heavy hands, pushing/shoving, and faking half shots are ways to set up your offense...they are not offense.
