  1. Does this take into account the weights where there are more than 8 preseeded wrestlers? I'm not 100% sure if those were randomly placed or if 9 wrestles 8, 10 wrestles 7, etc. That would throw off the expectation some.
  2. Forgot to figure the 9th spot at heavy. Gingrich over Lopez Tavanello over White Ninth: Tavanello over Gingrich

  4. I think what Mr. Wheeler typed was despicable, ignorant and classless. All that being said, he should miss National duals and then be reinstated.
  5. This is why the B1G needs to split divisions in wrestling and have a 1 day dual tourney. 1 East v. 1 West, 2 East v. 2 West, etc. That would be a bid draw.
  6. I would bet, and I hope, that Logan would take bottom against Retherford if they meet in the Big Ten finals. Truth be told, unless Port loses I think the winner is the 2 seed, loser the 3 seed, so what's the difference anyway. Take bottom now and figure it out, so that if you have a decision to make at nationals you know what to do.
  7. If you're the best it doesn't matter, but if you're the third best, and you're seeded poorly, then it could matter. Or, more importantly, if you're the seventh best, and the weight class only takes seven, and you're seeded ninth, then it matters.
  8. As someone who is holding onto Cobb this one last week in fantasy wrestling, does anyone know his status?
  9. I understand there are variables, and, if Jordan had won by 3, 4 or 5 points, I would say those matter. But a tech? Unless Weiroch doesn't wrestle the rest of the year because of an injury, that is saying something. Marsteller couldn't even get a takedown against Weiroch.
  10. Didn't the phenom Marstellar struggle to beat Weiroch last year? Was it a UTB victory? Hmmm...maybe those who said Bo was #1 were right after all.
  11. I'd be willing to bet that some of the kids that Snyder demolished on his way to a world gold are as good as Nevills. In my humble opinion, and yes, I am a Buckeye fan, Snyder should be pound for pound #1 because he won a world gold medal. In addition, he beat NCAA R12 guy Nathan Burak at junior nationals handily. Chance is a phenom, for sure, but I take Snyder all day every day.
  12. From a Buckeye perspective: 125 - I think Roberts will be solid but not a real AA threat; 133 - DiJulius had a nice win over Gulibon this summer, and I think he is a potential AA this year; 141 - Stieber - already an AA; 149 - Paddock has a good shot at AA status this year. He beat Grajales and jumped out to leads against Ness and Sueflohn but wilted based on a lack of size. A year building up to the weight will help him tremendously; 157 - Neither Languis nor Kresevic is an AA threat; 165 - Neither Languis nor Kresevic is an AA threat; 174 - Martin would have an outside shot, but R12 is more likely his ceiling; 184 - Courts has the talent, can he put together the consistency. I hope so; 197 - Heflin - already an AA; 285 - Tavanello - Has never looked like a solid college heavy to me, but had a pretty good RS season. I don't see him as an AA threat though with the depth returning at heavy. I would rank them Courts, Paddock, DiJulius, Roberts, Martin, Tavanello, Languis, Kresevic.
  13. So, is being the worst 4xer ever like being the ugliest dude to bang Kate Upton? :?:
  14. Who has David Taylor beaten who is on the same level as Jordan Oliver? Just asking.
  15. I think Garrett makes the jump next year and is a finalist. If I were a betting man I would put my money on him right now.
  16. Bison, Don't forget Tomasello, who is wrestling at Fila Junior World Team Trials this weekend. I think he aspires to an Olympic career as much as Jordan. Has definitely competed much more frequently in freestyle.
  17. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you were scoring that match with folkstyle rules, Hunter would have been winning, as the first exposure scored nothing in folk and Hunter came out on top in the scramble that resulted in a pin. Now, I'm not saying that means anything, but a freestyle pin against someone who doesn't wrestle freestyle all that often doesn't mean much either. Look at what happened to Ruth last year at the WTT, he looked terrible. I think McCauley will be good, but I'll take Hunter over him in folk next year without a doubt.
  18. From Youtube From Flo http://www.flowrestling.org/coverage/23 ... r-Ohio-RTC I think it is the same match.
  19. 125 - I think Garrett gets a title next year. On his way up the curve, whereas I think Delgado may have hit his peak. 133 - Graff over Ramos. I think Graff waits until the finals to finally get his win. 141 - L. Stieber over Maple. I think Logan moves up a weight and doesn't miss a beat. 149 - H. Stieber over ?. If Ness is here I favor him, but this is such a wide open weight. Hunter wrestled tight on Thursday and Friday, and, unfortunately, it took a loss for him to loosen up and wrestle to his capability. I think he goes in more relaxed next year and takes home a title. 157 - Dierenger over St. John. Dierenger almost had the victory this year, I think he gets it next year. 165 - Taylor over whomever. The only question is will anyone get into the third period. 174 - Howe over Storley. Boring as hell, but all Howe does is win. 184 - Ruth over whomever. I don't think Ruth will have to worry about math next year as he pins everyone. 197 - Rutt over Heflin. This will be like 174 next year, with no true favorite and every match from the quarters on being extremely close. 285 - Nelson over Gwiz. Everyone falls asleep before the match ends, and, upon waking, just assumes that Nelson won. Team - Penn State. I think they get the fourth and then someone else gets a title in 2015.
  20. I know it was freestyle, but Stieber absolutely destroyed Valenti, teching him in both periods. He dominated him not only on his feet but from top as well.
