  4. Kyle won the 2016 Olympic gold at the age of 20... I believe he has potential.
  5. I think Nomad has the knack to carefully pause and think to fill a blank with a worthwhile mention that relates to what’s already said but not fully clear. He’s keen on new angles with an earthy sharpness that makes me savor the evidence that there just might be a miss by me.
  6. I don’t follow this kind of stuff, so it’s confusing. Near as I can figure; there was this creepy, crotchety team doctor fumbling around a junk yard. And there were these 20-something aged, alpha wrestlers in a locker room, in the 80’s. Not too difficult to ascertain who was about to get severely abused if things got froggy. So, if so many said they knew that he knew… then they knew. Seems like somebody might have said STOP instead of HOLD IT!
  7. Henry Cejudo, the new 125lb Flyweight Champion and the first person to win a UFC championship and an Olympic gold medal. He had a classy message after the fight... UFC | INTERVIEW | POST-FIGHT August 4, 2018 Question - What’s more satisfying, that Olympic gold or being the UFC champion? Henry - “Aww man, I’m going, uh, I’m going to have to say, that Olympic gold man. I think that will always be my baby man. I mean at the age of 21, winning, shocking the world, putting (on) that American flag, representing the best of the best, and uh, I think as of now guys, and I appreciate what the UFC has done; even beating the pound for pound best fighter. But being an Olympic champion will always be my… My greatest accomplishment!” Later - “Now thank you guys so much. Man, this is a true testament of somebody that believes in himself, and that will never give up and this is; This is for all the kids out there that are watching. I… You guys never stop believing, never stop working hard and things will fall into place.
  8. Was that the suplex that was so fast and high it went off camera? If so, then apparently, if you don't see the throw; it can't be scored.
  9. Nice video. From start to finish, they don't say "play" ... They say "WRESTLE!"

  12. Kyle Frederick SNYDER (USA) vs. Aslanbek ALBOROV (AZE)
  13. I'm in Las Vegas (Pacific time) and the streaming worked fine for the first session... now it's like Thanksgiving with no dinner.
  14. When you care to share a pair named Flair at Blair… that’s fair.
  15. Over the years, I’ve seen Dan Gable, John Smith, The Brands, Cael Sanderson, David Taylor, Kyle Dake, Logan Steiber, Kyle Snyder, Zane Retherford, Dayton Fix, Spencer Lee, Gable Steveson and Daniel Kerkvliet. They seem pretty top-notch. They all could hand fight to control the ties, work the head, snap down, slide-by, ankle pick, trip, sweep, clear the elbow, duck-under and use the ‘ole’ sprawl and spin. Then there's arm bars and cradles that (lately) look kinda’ fun. They know about more motion and better gas tanks. It all carries weight in folkstyle and freestyle and I don’t think a cookie cutter recipe is a part of their ballywick for success.
  16. I don’t know much about women, politics or math, but I can still remember my first short pants learnin’ lesson. Way back in the day, when growing up in Wyoming, I got soundly schooled on a creek bank, by a pal, at the age of five. That’s when little “Petey” Harmon (the undisputed boss of the sand box) took her tiny plastic shovel and put knots on my noggin faster than I could count ‘em or wipe ‘em off. She apparently gave herself the opportunity to vent and me an equal opportunity to lose my first argument. To this day, 60 years later… I haven’t forgotten that message.
  17. Rex Peery, and his two sons, Hugh and Ed, each won three NCAA wrestling championships in three years of eligibility.
  18. The only Ice Giants, I ever came across, were intense and ravaging astrophysical beings of flesh and blood with a propensity to bristle and devour. Eons ago, they did not know their place in the cosmos and thus became as hard and unbreakable as blast furnace clinkers. They eventually (and paradoxically) turned to ice and upon the demise of their King (Frosty) at the hands of Odin and his brothers; they breathed everlasting life into the wrestler creed.

  20. I always wondered what it would look like to write nothing and then repeat nothing until all that remained was nothing...
  21. In 1968, Coach Myron Roderick’s sophomore upstart, Dwayne Keller bested Rick Sanders in the NCAA finals and... Oklahoma State won the NCAA team title. Rick was the tournament’s outstanding wrestler the year before and was the heavy favorite to repeat, until he was upset by Darrel Keller’s younger twin. "Roderick didn't know there was two of us," Dwayne said. "I kept telling him I had a twin brother. He asked me, "Is he any good?'' The older by 12 minutes, Darrell whipped Washington's Larry Owings in the 1971 NCAA finals; the year after Owings defeated Dan Gable.
  22. The succession of foolhardy: From Old French origin as in... fol - ‘foolish’ + hardi - ‘bold’ To Old French verbiage… folhardi To Middle English... foolhardi To US… foolhardy And hence to Chamizo... "foolishly brave"
