  1. I have always thought he was either following Popolizio or going the Cornell route.
  2. Clarion just got 2 NCAA Qualifiers back in Jake Gromacki and Brock Zacherl for 6th years.
  3. I was there, it was absolutely two hands to the throat. What pains me even more is the kids Dad stood right next to him and watched it take place.
  4. Anybody think Edinboro would of had a chance at a Top 10 FInish this season if Flynn and his recruits stayed? A number of guys who transferred have qualified. Just off the top of my head: Korbin Myers, Pat Lugo, Dakota Geer and Billy Miller all qualified for there new schools.
  5. Yeah cause you probably had a better view than the ref......
  6. Who's hot and Who's not? Bunch of young talent flocking to Akron this weekend. Who are the favorites?
  7. Is it just me or does the search bar not work for anyone else? I have tried multiple times to search by a specific wrestlers name (Used to work on the old set-up) and it just brings me back to the home page everytime.
  8. Sammie Henson's son just went 7-2 in Cadet at Fargo.
  9. Did you see who placed ahead of Young in that bracket? Young lost his Consi Finals match in UTB and it probably should have never made it to that UTB.
  10. Not sure if this has been posted or not, but Parry is 150% all about Lacrosse. From Laxmagazine.com: Parry has an extensive lacrosse background, having played the sport while in college at Brown, having hired Dom Starsia as Brown coach in 1983 when Parry was athletic director there and having been Butler AD when that lacrosse program started in 1993 (The program was cancelled by his successor in 2007.) Parry's wife is currently the assistant women's coach at Baldwin-Wallace, a Division III team in Ohio, and Parry has had two stints on the NCAA men's lacrosse committee

  12. Am I the only one that think Superold is the poster formarly known as Limarty?
  13. I had one of Flemings teammates show me this turn because I was curious about it. All the pressure is on your jaw. It feels like your jaw bone is going to explode from the pressure. Check the 3:52 mark. You can clearly see that Flemings lock is on the jaw bone and the airway is not obstructed. As soon as James applies pressure to the jaw the kid starts to try to tap out. I was told the key to it is to keep your forearm along the jaw line. http://www.flowrestling.org/coverage/237838-10-Oklahoma-Brockport-Gold/video/366076-157-Matt-Lester-vs-James-Fleming It gets stopped in this match, but you can clearly see again the lock is on the jaw. 2:39 & 4;50 marks. The 4:50 mark is probably one of the best views of the lock you will find. http://www.flowrestling.org/coverage/238034-Clarion-VS-Edinboro-Fort-LeBoeuf-HS-GOhioCasts/video/399019-157-lbs-Johnny-Greisheimer-Edinboro-VS-James-Fleming-Clarion
  14. Marshall Peppleman to Lehigh? Any truth behind this?
  15. Listen, I know it seems logical that all top kids would want to compete in Jr Duals/Fargo but when the state association is in complete control of the event -- roster, training, cost, coaching, travel, etc -- in some states the process doesn't justify making it a priority. I think a few people have tried to explain this nicely, including myself. If you have a bad situation in a club, you can just move to another club that meets your needs. If you have a bad state system for Jr Duals/Fargo, there aren't a lot of options unless you considering moving out of state one of them. This is PA in a nutshell. Sounds like California is having the same issues. Club coaches are tired of playing the games with the sanctioning body. They arent going to suggest to their athletes to wrestle in Jr Duals when A: They think the sanctioning body is charging way to much money.(Club coaches put togethor trips all the time, they know the cost of lodging, transportation, gear and entry fee's) B:The sanctioning body does nothing to help themselves.(Holding tournaments on one side of the state) C: Suggestions have been made on improving things as a whole and nothing is done. Club coaches will take their kids and go else where.
  16. What sounds more appealing to 16,17 & 18 year olds? "Hey Joe want to go to Oklahoma and wrestle for a week in some duals?" "Hey Joe want to go to Disney in Florida and wrestle for a week in some duals?"
  17. I believe Mines is penciled in at #125 for the Boro. If Roberts chooses Edinboro does he takes Mines spot?
  18. I highly doubt he heads to Clarion, especially the way everyone else is running out of their. Pitt could use a 125 for this season as I believe their only options at #125 are both true freshman. My guess is he is headed to Pitt or Arizona, but we will have to wait and see.
  19. With his freestyle background does anyone see him heading west to Arizona?
  20. Are they really dropping????? I do not believe the program at Clarion is in danger as a program. However people very close to the program have noted there displeasure with Coach Letters.
  21. I hope for the sake of West Coast wrestling that these boys stay on the West Coast.
  22. Great weekend of wrestling! Before I start this let me just say, Yes I know its memorial day weekend and yes I realize there was 60 mats on Sat/Sun. My only complaint/gripe is using "College Rules" (Except for riding time) and having officials clueless to actual college rules. Maybe they need to run a rules clinic for the officials on Friday morning or something, also it was more then one official. Witnessed a kid winning a match 7-3 to start the 3rd period. Got reversed to his back and gave up 4pts. Lost the match 5-7?!?! The match should have been going to OT. Never before have I seen a wrestler lose pts during a match. PA teams looked tough in the High School division.
  23. From the looks of thing this should be the biggest baddest Virginia Beach duals to date. Im excited for some great wrestling this weekend!
