  1. Gutches is massive now. I bet they are close in weight Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk
  2. He's already beaten Dake and Taylor head to head in freestyle. Sent from my BND-L34 using Tapatalk
  3. I actually started out in d3 and transferred to an NAIA school. The d3 school i went to i just felt like it wasnt the right place. Very small, the athletics and coaching were just not what i expected, not as structured and serious. Also it was like double the cost. The NAIA school was a better fit for me. We competed at a higher level, had scholarship money, got better equipment, free shoes work out gear etc, more people, different social environment. I think most of it depends on what you are looking for. Im sure Wartburg, Augsburg etc were a diffrent d3 experience than i had. I really enjoyed my NAIA experience. 4. Can I steal the term “stray wool” ? It might be my new favorite!
  5. Is Desanto Autistic? I keep seeing this implied, but don’t know.I know it does not excuse the actions, but it might explain his outbursts, I actually coached a Kid with Autism before and his reactions to things would sometimes be out of whack, but he never tried to hurt anyone, usually would get real upset with himself. Micic seems like a real grounded guy, has good perspective on the sport. I like Gross too, going to be a great match.
  6. Just watched Fix score 10 points in less than a minute. Good luck shooting on him, odds are you're going to be put in danger for 4 then give up the take down.Very fun to watch, does not look fun to actually wrestle him. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  7. what about Lesnar? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  8. I saw that match live, felt like the whole arena stopped to watch it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  9. Steve Fraser, Olympic Gold, Greco Team coach Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
  10. I hope that the U.S. Olympic Team team pushes JB. The guy is Money, It would give great exposure to wrestling and he is the model athlete. Hard working, family oriented, Confident, proven winner. The guy is just as good in an interview as he is on the mat. I hear a lot of people talk about bringing outside money into the sport to help it grow, I think Burroughs is the guy that could breakthrough to the mainstream. I think he draws outside interest into the sport. Hell Its happened in other sports like gymnastics, figure skating, etc. Why not wrestling?
  11. If this is the same Coach J who coached Findlay back in the 90's, being an NAIA guy, I'm surprised you didn't mention Igali when he wrestled for Simon Fraser and wrecked some guys days with a ton of take downs and little to no mat wrestling. I guess if your putting up like 10 plus td's a match, riding and such probably is not that important.
  12. Those coaches went all Bill Belichick. I mean it is kind impressive that they were astute enough to know the minutiae of the rules like that, or maybe they are just crazy people.
