  1. Val soot me a pm, I’d love to meet up if possible.
  2. Wick is at 165. I don't think he has a chance of beating Carr but I would say Deakin has a fair chance of making it happen.
  3. 125 - Suriano - 24 pts - 1st, 4 adv. pts - 4 bonus pts Hildebrandt - 2.5 pts - DNP - Wins a few matches but comes short of AA - I know he could easily jump but I have never bought in. 133 - Ragusin - 11pts - 5th place RBY - 20pts - 2nd place with 4 bonus pts. (loses to Fix) 141- Micic - 2pts - DNP - Wildcard but looks so small and rough Lee - 24pts - 1st, 4 adv. pts, 4 bonus pts He is a bad man 149 - Bartlett - 2pts 157 - Lewan - 8pts, 7th place Berge - 3.5pts, DNP - Seeds are going to play a big reason here 165 - Amine - 4pts (could easily go higher) 174 - Massa - 16pts, 2nd place Starocci - 22pts, 1st, 2 bonus 184 - Amine 22, 1st place, 2 bonus pts Brooks 20, 2nd place, 4 bonus 197 - Brucki - 10pts, 6th place Dean - 12, 5th place - Of course he could score up to 20-24pts but I just don't see it. I think 197 is too deep and he will lose a close one somewhere along the way. HWT - The predictions below are based on Parris being the 6th seed. Steveson, Cass, Schultz, Kerk, Hedrickson Parris - 19pts, 2nd place (beats Schultz) and then Cassiopi with 3 bonus pts along the way Kerk - 14 pts, 4th with 2 bonus pts This has both Michigan and PSU scoring 116pts. I know that seeds will play a role but I think I was pretty fair across the board. PSU has more meat left on the bone then Michigan. However, I just don't buy some of the juice. I also think there are some interesting landmines for both teams. 174 we may have a Starocci and Kemerer semi. I know Kemerer seems hurt but that is a 50/50 match. However, I think Massa is the underdog verse Lewis. It is the national tournament and besides Suriano, RBY and Lee are their guarantees to make the finals. Brooks and Amine are 90% but Pete K. and Hidlay have a punchers chance.
  4. 125 - Suriano over Vito 133 - Fix over RBY 141 - Lee over Rivera 149 - Yianni 157 - Deakin over Carr 165 - Wick over O’Toole 174 - Lewis over Kemerer 184 - Amine over Brooks 197 - Buchannon over Brucki - Homer pick, but if you back and watch the Dean match at the dual, he dominated the match 285 - Gable over Paris - kind of a h9 er pick but if Keri was on the same side I would pick Kerk every time over Parris
  5. This is from a self admitted Michigan fan. However, what seed did PSU get that is so egregious? Hildebrandt - His best win is over Heinselman the 12th seed. He is 9-3 with losses to 1, 8 and 10 seeds. He has a small resume and little to no quality wins. Head to head matters but is only a part of the formula. I get he took 4th and had a nice run last year but I don't understand the love affair here. He had no win in the top 25 before the national tournament last year. Had a good win against Latona and Teske at nationals last year but they are now the 24th and 15th seed in a full season. Berge - This is obviously high for him. He deserved to be higher but how much? Seeds are based off of productivity and more so at your weight. This is a byproduct of coming out of retirement from coaching, starting at a higher weight and then losing to Lewan. He beat Young twice. That is a tough pill to swallow. If PSU goes down, the fanbase will look at this as a reason why. However, I think his draw is actually very nice depending on how things fall on the backside. Bartlett - He has 8 losses and many are to really good guys but 2 are to Van Brill (12th seed) I honestly don't get the frustration overall. Amine gets a person he lost to 1st rd as a 6 seed. Brucki gets the 4 and has Woodley who he lost to in rd 2. Tough guys up and down the brackets.
  6. I would say this as a Michigan fan: 125 - As expected 133 - Best Quarter he could have got, even though he got taken to the wood shed last time and honestly don't see a change this time 141 - When your record is what it is this is what you get. However, I watched Hart in the finals of Big 12 and he is a bigger 141 so hopefully right off the scales this helps a smaller Micic. I also really like Micic's draw if he can win the 1st round. It would put him at some winnable matches and then against porbably Matthews of Pitt to AA. That is a lot of look ahead with tons of variance, but he is a wild card for this team. 157 - He lives and dies by 1pt matches. Draws are almost irrelevant but I assume he wins rd 1, loses rd 2 and has a match with Berge in the wrestlebacks which could be huge for team purposes. 165 - Decent draw but he lost to the Nebraska kid earlier. Hopefully that was an off night 174 - Good 184- As expected 197 - A match-up with Woodley rd 2 isn't ideal but 197 is crazy deep so rd 2 matches probably aren't going to be easy regardless. 285 - Best he could have hoped for. An unproven Schultz and a guy he is 2-0 against to make it to the finals. The only losses he has taken the last 2 years are to guys on the top side.
  7. This has me thinking and looking at schools who had transfers. Some where a few years ago but Northwestern could be. 125 - Deagustino - Not winning titles but a quality 125 133 - Micic - Take what you have seen this year and erase it. At 133 this year or any year in the past 10 he has been in college and he is top 3. Ok only like 8 years 141 - Rivera - Stud 149 - Yahya - Very good possible AA candidate 157 - Deakin - Possible champ That is a heck of a bottom 5. The top of their line-up is still a little suspect, even though they all qualified for the tournament. Crazy overall.
  8. You don’t need to see brackets to know Kem and Starocci will be on the same side. Same with Hillary and Brooks. You are also way higher on Hildebrandt who took 9th!!! and Ayala who is hurt than I am.
  9. I know we are 5 and half hours away from the brackets but as a Michigan homer, I will give my breakdown of how they win it. Brooks and Amine are 90% but Pete K. and Hidlay have a punchers chance. I just have listened to FRL and other podcast that still kind of make it sound like it is a foregone conclusion.
  10. Awesome guys! Keep it going please. If you know of anything else let's keep this thread up there for the coaches coming.
  11. I looked at both but there wasn’t anything about it.
  12. In the past there were open national team practices and some coaching clinics that went along with the tournament. Does anyone know if they are doing this again and if there is any information out there on that.
  13. I am looking for anywhere from 4-8 tickets for the championships this year. I was also wondering if the NWCA was putting on coaching clinics or us team practices like they have done in the past. Thank you for any insight.
  14. That is awesome. It hasn't been around for the last 3 years or so. I really hope they have the quad view.
  15. Well my response was going to be very different until I just checked the upcoming schedule on ESPN again. Go to their website and watch tab. Click on schedule and upcoming. Bottom line is ESPN3 will be streaming all of the mats. ESPNU showing 1st round and 2nd round highlighted matches. This is what Friday looks like: (Thursday has nothing but I know they are doing it) https://www.espn.com/watch/schedule/_/type/upcoming/categoryId/99c32c26-2a57-3ec2-b14c-824684bd2e7f/startDate/20210319
  16. Just looking if someone had a schedule of when the sessions begin each day? I saw on ESPN they are showing a lot on ESPNU but I have gone down a few times to the tournament and Friday I thought started well before 11am. Thanks for the help.
  17. Super pumped for the CKWC!! Go get em!! I love this idea and was excited for it. However, I think it is exceeding expectations. If they were able to have an audience and the biggest names. I really think this could be a huge event. I am not saying NCAA huge but pretty darn close. You get 8 teams with the top guys from each in a duel format like this and you won't have the passionate fans like college supporters but I know I would travel to see it. This is a really cool idea and I thank Flo for putting it on. I know there is a ton of bitching about Flo but find me another group that has pushed content like them and I will gladly pay my money there.
  18. I never thought about the proximity to former wrestlers and the number that would be within easy travel distance to the arena. I have gone 14 of the last 17 and don't foresee me being able to get there this year. Have fun to all that got tickets!!
  19. That is what I am wondering. Does anyone know exactly what they are saying the capacity is for the arena? St. Louis and such are 19k roughly. If this is 16-17k then we are talking about 2-3k less tickets which would account for most but not all of the allotments not being fulfilled. So there has to be more being shipped somewhere.
  20. I have a hotel room available if someone needs one. PM me if you want it. It is expensive. The last person thought I was messing around but for the 3 nights it is 650 each night after taxes and fees.
  21. Does anyone need a hotel room close to the venue? I have 1 available. It is a really nice place.
  22. I guess, it just didnt seem to be like this the last 10 years but I haven't been able to go the last 2 years. Does anyone know what face value is for lower bowl and upper bowl?
  23. I honestly can't see myself paying much for than 1.5 times face value. I really am frustrated with this. It seems crazy that wrestling fans can't get tickets. I would hope the NCAA isn't selling tickets to secondary markets before school allotments but that's that all mighty dollar I guess.
  24. I just can't justify 750 for all sessions. That is crazy prices. I have gone 14 of the last 18. Missed because of either it being too expensive (NY), birth of my son, or sickness. Crazy how expensive tickets are for this on the secondary sites. Anyone know what scalping will be like at the stadium? I have done this at other sites but with it being in Pittsburgh I am a little nervous.
  25. I am looking for 4 tickets anywhere for Nationals. I know this is super early but the school I usually go through (last 4 years) sold out and just informed me my request was not fulfilled. The tickets are going to wrestling junkies (3 former/current HS coaches and a super fan). I also have a hotel (pricey) but extremely nice in Pittsburgh available.
