huh? they are simpletons because you don't want to talk about it?

Are those people cool with you ranting about the msm, television, and the decline of American discourse? Whats worse?

Repeatedly you have gotten riled up about the media on here. Not just any kind of rant, the kind that tiptoes the line of a conspiracy believer, but you find someone questioning a leader as just too much?

This is seriously sad. Essentially what you are saying is that are just too special for all of us plebes to understand the complex individual that you are. We could never expect to speak on an even keel with an individual with so much depth. This sounds like delusion.

Just curious, what do you think I watch on TV? Clearly you have made assumptions about everyone.

Let me summarize your post: You don't like or watch TV, therefore everyone else are simpletons if they think someone is racist, and you find trump amusing because it shows that everything is broken. Talk about non sequiturs. You're going to break an ankle making those kind of jumps.

Honestly, you just sound like an old man ranting who takes pride in his own cynicism.

Lets be real, people up in arms about this were not upset about the sanctity of the flag. Its just an easy diversion from the issue Kap was raising. White people didn't and still don't want to hear it. JMO

Hard to link a public comment when the guys deleted his twitter...
Looking at his content when it was still active, and his FB post, you don't have to reach very far to say the guy is very likely racist. I don't believe someone has to say "I am racist" in order to read between the lines.
If you think his statement was factually correct, I don't know what to tell you. If you can in good faith say (to pick basically any part of that statement as an example..) "the democrats goal is to remove all enjoyment from society" is not "factually incorrect"...well you and me are reading a very different DNC platform (https://democrats.org/where-we-stand/party-platform/).

If you think that Urban Dictionary is a good source of information, then maybe you shouldn’t educate yourself. So let me help you. Check Merriam Webster or Dictionary.com.

Uh no? I’ve never used it. I’ve heard it here or there and always call out the people who say it. It has probably been a decade since I’ve heard it outside of recordings.

If you think it’s acceptable to just casually use an offensive term for Asian people, you should probably educate yourself before getting into a conversation about race.

It’s literally NOT true that every single black person is more athletic than every single white person.
Making assumptions about random individuals based on an NFL statistic for a particular position seems pretty ridiculous.

LJB- why are you so defensive of someone who I assume you don’t know saying things that are at an absolute minimum highly divisive, borderline incoherent and just plain ignorant?

At first I can never understand why others defend that kind of behavior until I realize it’s most likely because the people that do defend it are most likely in the same boat and share those views. That type of sensationalism and divisive rhetoric is why we can’t see past party affiliation let alone try to solve inequality issues that exist.

I don’t disagree that some may call ‘racist’ at any drop of that hat and that’s not right, but this I think is clearly not one of those cases. Not all disgusting behavior and opinions should be defended ‘just because.’ Why not try taking another perspective or looking at this from another lens?

They want to make sure that only those that are stupid enough to drop the n-bomb directly can be racist. That way people can say whatever they want on a public forum, fully aware of the racial connotations and the effect it has in the general discussion, and brush it off as "just speaking my truth". He claims to be against divisiveness, but he will protect it all costs because 1. People take a lot of pride in being a contrarian. 2. Because they can paint everyone else as the mob, sheep etc. which serves his ego and 3. Because it allows them to speak from a soap box without ever really having a discussion or trying to understand where the other side is coming from.

Here's my reasoned point: if Kenny Monday says race was an issue at Foxcatcher, I believe him. If he says it wasn't an issue, I believe him. I choose to side with the man who has experienced the effects of racism in this community and in this country.

You seem vociferous in your point of view. That's fine; it's not my job to change your personal perspective. It's a much bigger issue than you or me.
The reason I'm responding to your posts--which strike me as more or less superficial and ugly--is that I want anyone who might read a thread like this (before it gets locked) to know that your point of view has not gone unchallenged. There are people in the wrestling community, and on this board, who are willing to stand against racism and respond to people who, like you, feel a need to argue on the behalf of a murderer rather than even consider that, just maybe, race was an issue at Foxcatcher. It's not revisionist; it's understanding reality through an evolved lens.
And again, I'm not self-righteous. My aim here is to articulate a reasoned and principled stance. I am trying harder: that's why I'm on this message board choosing to engage with you.

You are free to have your opinions. I just believe that a team that specifically bans black people is racist, and I think most people would agree with me.
As for hiring someone and then discriminating against him or her on the basis of race, it happens all the time. There are even civil rights laws that address such situations.

It can't be stated better than Aldo Leopold did:

"One of the penalties of an ecological education is that one lives alone in a world of wounds. Much of the damage inflicted on land is quite invisible to laymen. An ecologist must either harden his shell and make believe that the consequences of science are none of his business, or he must be the doctor who sees the marks of death in a community that believes itself well and does not want to be told otherwise."

As I biologist I can tell you not everything can adapt quick enough. We are already in the midst of the anthropocene extinction, and it's only going to get worse. Unfortunately, most people don't care.
