  1. And the results were free, FYI. Regardless though, what is the purpose of signing up for a website that I will never again visit. Just doesn't make sense. Has nothing to do with money. Heck, charge me a dollar to find out who won if that's what they want.
  2. I tried going to view the brackets but for some bogus reason, I have to sign up for a website that I would never care to look at again.
  3. Sorry, but the Hodge is based on THIS year, no 4 titles, 3 titles, etc. It's also based on the full year. Yes, Dake can be up there and mentioned with anyone, but beating David Taylor doesn't automatically arise him the Hodge winner. Others have to have a fighting chance. It's not Ramos fault he doesn't wrestle 165, or Ruth, or Oliver. You can say what you want, but if Dake beats Taylor again, he is the Hodge winner. Taylor would be 1 or 2 in the running for the Hodge had Dake not been in the picture. This year, Dake is as or more dominating and if your argument against him is one of schedule strength (a weak one, in my opinion, given Dake's overall caliber and the fact that he beat who he has), then Dake will have silenced any doubters after a Taylor win. That's an assessment based on "THIS year, no 4 titles, 3 titles, etc." When was the last time Ed Ruth was beat? WHY does he not have a chance? Because he doesn't wrestle 165? Give me a break. It's not a 1 man race. Others have say.
  4. If there's a fan vote, it would really hurt some of the smaller schools. Just like NBA all star voting, it becomes a popularity vote.
  5. If this is the Ness that shows up in March, he'll finish 2 again. Great match and awesome ride.
  6. Because their is a field of competition. What if Ruth beats a returning NCAA champion very convincingly. What if Ramos does, even though I don't see it convincingly. You can just declare a winner without giving others a fighting chance.
  7. I'm not sure what your saying. Are you saying that you don't like people voicing their opinion on message boards?

  9. Agree that Kilgore could definitely get more mention if he beats his way through the nationals, including the finals. In my eyes, Ramos should be above Steiber though. Logan missed arguably his 3-4 toughest matches this year, including a dual with Tony. Ramos seems like a man on an absolute mission and I can not wait to see the battle between those 2. Ramos has been so clutch lately for the Hawks.
  10. Last time I checked, you were a Minny fan. Not sure why you'd be pumped. Great barometer for Ness leading to tournament time. Very true. I've actually been really looking forward to a possible Alton/Ness match (but that was before the Andrew that we have recently witnessed). I just think J.O. is a tough way to gauge someone.
  11. After listening to the chatter on these boards for the past few months, you'd swear those numbers should be reversed. For a guy that gets criticism for being boring, how boring can he really be if he has 16 falls and is 3rd on the most dominant list? The Hodge committee may be running out of reasons to deny Dake the award, if he beats Taylor again for the title. Are you joking? Both of you two? Let me say first and foremost that I have become a HUGE Kyle Dake fan unless it's against that 1 wrestler. My brother and I, as die hard PSU fans actually talk about this quite a bit. Dake is an incredibly classy kid with uncanny talent. Very special and it's going to take a spectacular performance to beat him. His defense, balance and strength is a combo that is deadly. However, comparing his total accumulation of points/pins/bonus vs the likes of DT or anyone else in the Big 10 for that matter is ridiculous. While Cornell has wrestled some of the epper echelon teams, the bulk has been in conference trash, Binghampton, Drexel, Brown, Harvard and the list goes on and on... These are all teams that I would expect both David Taylor and Kyle Dake to make quick work of. And with Kilgore... Gonzo - is it really fair to give someone who runs through the Kent State schedule the Hodge over someone by the likes of Taylor, Dake, Ruth, Ramos or Oliver? Their path is MUCH harder with similar results.

  13. I'm 50/50 on this. Anywhere you see a betting slip, I won't be anywhere near.
  14. Your a joke. If Dake scores and its 2-0, they might as well call it a wrap. Have you watched their previous matches or just trolling? No way Taylor could score on a reversal? Or ride him well again for a point? I would hope any elite wrestler turns it up in March. Most have said it would obviously benefit Dake, but by no means call it lights out. Dake, Taylor, the coaches, I'm sure would all agree. Likewise the other way around.
  15. I see what LordNelson is saying, but on the flip side, I honestly would never in a million years count DT out after 1 takedown. Yes, I will give Dake the highest percentage of beating DT with only 1 takedown, and the previous matches show that. I also however have seen to many matches where after being down a takedown or 1 point, wrestlers become way more aggressive and it pans out. DT may be better equipped to be down 1 late with KD than tied. Going into a rideout will benefit Dake IMO.
  16. I've signed 3 different petitions myself. Which is the real? Change.org?
  17. This is pretty much what I am thinking. Ruth and then 1 more from either Megaludis, Taylor or Q. Dylan could threaten, but I give him about a 15% chance. Brown about 10%.

  20. I truly think Logan is the best there is in this weight class. I just don't think that you should be able to get the top seed after missing the 3 most important matches. Obviously he has a chance to take the top seed at Big 10's and earn it for NCAA's. It's just - if Ramos only wrestled the guys LS wrestled, the results would be the same. You're right though, Logan is improved and that is SCARY.

  23. I think Ramos has earned top seed for big 10s but ultimately the winner there decides NCAAs top seed.
  24. I agree entirely. Logan is an absolute stud, but he likely doesn't bonus in any of these matches. Graff, assuming conditioning is not a factor, and certainly Ramos could give Logan a very good match. Great wrestler, but certainly inflated stats due to missing the 3 most potentially toughest matches.
  25. For sure... Neither have impressed me of late. AT ALL!
