  7. Karimi looked great all day and gave Sadulaev his toughest match for a couple of years. A shame they did not meet in the Final. Sadulaev never looked as dominant as last year, despite the scores, but his dominance is still apparent and could last for a very long time.

From National Wrestling Coach for England National Wrestling Coach for England Posted: 17 March 2013 Closing date: 28 March 2013 National Wrestling Coach for England circa £25,000 depending on experience British Wrestling is the National Governing Body for the Olympic styles of wrestling - Freestyle (male and female) and Greco-Roman (male) plus the increasingly popular style of Grappling. Whilst wrestling in the UK is a minority sport, participation is increasing and the sport is gaining in popularity. British Wrestling is seeking to appoint a National Coach for England to raise the standard of English Wrestling at domestic and international level, and lead to success in Glasgow 2014. Overall Purpose of the Job A key individual in the team that will aim to raise the standard of English Wrestling at domestic and international level, and lead to success in Glasgow 2014. Under the leadership of the Chief Executive, and working closely with the England Talent Lead and British Wrestling Performance Director, search for, identify and develop wrestlers with the ability to reach the levels of international performance. To work closely with British Wrestling to develop systems that proactively capture, confirm and promote the best young wrestlers from within the sport (Talent Selection,) and from outside (Talent Identification / Talent Transfer, both from other sports and beyond). To act as the leader of wrestling coaches in England, developing their coaching skills through the Talent Pathway and in association with the UKCC programme of coaching Key Responsibilities Conduct on the mat training for England Talent Path Athletes, and in particular the England National Squad Leader of the coaches of the Talent Pathway programmes as and where these are set up, being a role model for coaches communicating techniques taught to athletes Lead the implementation of Regional and National Coaching for athletes Create individual development plans for England Talent Path Athletes and monitor/drive improvement Support England athletes at national & international events Play a lead role in Athlete talent ID and selection Work in partnership with the England Talent Lead and British Performance Director in developing the necessary recruitment strategies, both from within and outside the sport, to ensure stockpiles of quality athletes are identified for the World Class Wrestling Programme.
