  1. Of course you do. Is there a Penn State wrestler you wouldn't favor in a matchup? I will give you a few: 125: Hildebrandt vs anyone but Lee, Glory and Vito at 125? Has he even been in the room yet? 133: RBY vs. The Field? 141: Lee vs. The Field? 149: Bartlett vs. anyone but Yianni or Sasso 157: Now this one is a test. A weight that has NO stats. Where do you put your guy come NCAA's? 165: Is it going to be Facundo? If so, do you have him AAing? 174: Starocci vs The Field? 184: Brooks vs. Amine? 197: Dean vs Ferrari, Bonaccorsi, Amos, Warner, Elam, Darmstadt, Deprez, Norfleet and Caffey? 285: Kerkvliet vs Gable, Parris, Cass and Schultz?
  2. Steveson is listed at 6'1", for what it is worth. Parris is listed at 6'2". Kerkvliet is listed at 6'3". Cassioppi is listed at 6' Schultz is listed at 6'2" so you are WAAAAAY off here!
  3. Yes and Coon's silver was in Greco.
  4. First off, you are counting results by guys, with the exception of Snyder, that happened after they graduated. Steveson most likely gets nearly that medal count by himself if he decided to stay in Freestyle competition for as long as Snyder has. On top of that, Snyder didn't win those medals at HWT and, by all accounts Akgul throttled him in the room, so he may not have medaled at all if he went HWT. After that, Coon won his medal in Greco. If you count that, Schultz can even be added to the mix and he is on a trajectory that most likely passes Coon, let alone equaling him.
  5. He was pretty legit coming out of High School. 200-4 career record and a 4x Finalist(3x Champ) out of Michigan. Crazy thing was he took a surprise upset as a Junior in the State Finals. He also was a multiple time place at Fargo. As far as DI wrestling goes, he is just the type of guy that does everything right off the mat, but can't quite get it all to come together on it. He really doesn't have a marquee win, but he pretty much wrestled most of the top 5-15 ranked guys close. So, he would still be a decent guy for duals, but I would be surprised if he is starting in March...
  6. I get that and that is why I said his mat wrestling is going to be the deciding factor. Without being healthy he had next to no chance to work on that part of his wrestling, let alone make the significant improvements necessary against the top 3(who are ALL great on the mat). But, you still can't say someone won a freestyle match without being freestyle centric when there is no mat wrestling. Escapes, reversals and not being able to escape change the landscape considerably...
  7. That just isn't accurate to say when there isn't mat wrestling. That is going to be the KEY component on whether or not Kerk can beat these guys. There was never a doubt he is legit on his feet, but he got pounded by the top guys on bottom last year.
  8. Although true in many cases, he specifically pointed out why it wouldn’t be in this one. Ryan has proven he is an exceptional CEO. This is extremely evident by his recruiting, facilities and athletic department/booster support. Even his RTC has been top notch until he lost Rosselli . Truth be told, any issues they have are on the mat. This falls more on his support staff. Not quite reaching the top in Folk or the recent semi collapse of the RTC seems to stem from the loss of his coaches “in the field”. You can’t just replace Rosselli and Dlagnev and then Snyder was quite crippling.
  9. The real issue is he actually had a chance to be the only other guy to go undefeated in 4 straight seasons…
  10. If you have to resort to name calling, you have already lost.....
  11. That video LITERALLY shows NOTHING. I mean nothing at all. How in the hell does that video make the initial accuser "awfully likely" to be correct? If you ever made it to a jury panel, the defense attorney wasn't doing his job during the selection process...
  12. Make sure to add Covid and China........not necessarily in that order!
  13. Did you actually type that with a straight face? Be honest.......
  14. Nick Saban is pretty close to being considered the best DI Football Coach of ALL TIME. So................I am not sure I would use this type of a schedule to knock a HC. When you compete in, BY FAR, the toughest conference in your respective sport, some warm up competitions aren't a bad idea and it actually HELPS those other teams get some notoriety and even a boost or 2 in recruiting!
  15. Alabama played the likes of Mercer(7-2, but in the Southern Conference and a FCS school, sort of equivalent to a Wartburg) and Southern Miss(1-9 and 0-6 in the AAC) in 2 of the first 3 games. Hell, they just played 1-9 New Mexico State and they aren't even in a Conference. The above seems to work out for them just about every year...
  16. If you actually took the time to figure out how they are done, they make much more sense. Like Willie said, they are more a rating than a ranking. A guy like Eierman has 4 full years of wrestling to get credited for a bunch of wins over Finalists and Champs throughout. That holds a lot of sway over a loss in OT when rating a wrestler over his entire career. Now, if you were simply ranking wrestlers going into the season based on the most recent results, you admittedly shouldn't use this system and those in charge of Wrestlestat have said as much...
  17. Sorry, but I believed some added context was important in this case.
  18. I believe he left to pursue baseball and when that didn't work out, he came back to FSU and played Football...
  19. Newsflash: Some people genuinely like Folkstyle and the ONLY way for them to stick with it for as long as they can IS to wrestle in College...
  20. Actually, in defense of Iowa the dual was at PSU the year prior…
  21. You may want to go back and read the post you made that he first responded to...
  22. Thank you for typing slowly for me. That really helped! 1.) And yet those interests still didn't stop you from coming here and specifically responding to an open ended post about being bothered by something that you really seemed bothered by before saying you weren't! 2.) By saying I don't get why someone is bothered by something pretty much infers I am bothered by that. When did I deny that? Finally, you SHOWED considerable feeling by the words you used. I intentionally used an extreme analogy, because they are best to point out analogous hypocrisy..... Oh, and I spend long hours in my office at work, so you would have to switch that with basement, but my job actually makes me drive a ton as well so.....
  23. Oh, and you mistook me if you think I meant ANY liberals were not bothered by Trump. He lost because EVERY liberal hated his guts! And pretty much deservedly so!
  24. Lol, sheesh. I admittedly used an extreme example, but I used it to point out you don't say things like that about a particular situation with out having "feelings" about it. I IN NO WAY want to specifically talk about Trump. See my post before this one as proof of my stance on Trump.
