  3. The National Collegiate Open has started releasing names of athletes via twitter for the March 2, 2014 Championship in Richmond, VA.   4. This was a rematch from last year's National Collegiate Open. Miller won last year's meeting with a fall at 4:42 and went on to claim the title at the event while Mastriani finished in 5th.   5. Interesting the progress some of the Midlands finalist have made in the career. Since the National Collegiate Open is primarily redshirts and other young backups in their first two seasons of college wrestling it is interesting to see how these guys did in their season ending championship those years and how they perform today. Last year the following Illinois wrestlers attended (Current Wrestling Report National Rankings): #11 Richards -5th at NCO Fahy -DNP at NCO #15 Brunson -DNP at NCO #10 Morse -3rd at NCO #24 Reyes -2nd at NCO Koepke -4th at NCO Also, in previous years, the following current starters placed: #1 Delgado -Won 2011 NCO, while at Cal Poly #25 Rodrigues -6th at 2012 NCO #6 Gonzalez -3rd at 2010 NCO

  11. You are confusing the matches. Whitenburg injury defaulted in the first period of the finals bout. Beazley lost 5-3 to Whitenburg in the Semi-Finals.
