Haven’t watched Purdue match yet, but he was definitely favoring it in the Minnesota match.  But, he still looked a lot better than  some of their other guys…

One armed Kemerer probably isn’t winning NCAA’s unless he channels his inner Cory Clark, but he can probably still get top 4.

Yeah, I think you about right. Two healthy shoulders and the whole thing is a toss up, but if he is favoring one of them then guys like Mehki and Carter Starocci are a tough out.

Man Kemerer teched Neijenhuis?  Impressive for a one-armed senior citizen.

Agree, but did you see how he limited the ref from raising his left arm? Ref raised it a little beyond 90 degrees and then turned him and raised his arm a second time, but seemed to me Alex limited him to 90 degrees the second time. Looks like there is a limit to his comfort in that shoulder.

Oddly enough, if Washington doesn't score that first Takedown, i bet the final score would have been closer.  Brooks flipped a switch in his brain and activated killer mode after that.

Yup. I don't even think it was the fact that DJ got the Takedown as much as the fact he rode Brooks for maybe 30 seconds. But a really interesting match because it was so obvious that Brooks had gone into seek and destroy mode.

  4. Byers said Kerkvliet weighed in at 237.4 which is 10lbs heavier than at the beginning of the year. Greg looks the best I have seen each week that goes by. Just getting healthier and better. What a great athlete. 10-2 after 1 period with 2:21 in RT. 20-3 TF win after 2 periods. I think Greg thought he had pinned Bullock and let up at the end.

I was referencing how you snivel out of what you said or move the goalposts when called out for being wrong

Again, whose season did I write off? Point it out or accept that you are the one who is wrong here.

Just like you wrongly think I needed a lecture in concussions and CTE. Just like after I brought up wrestlers who feel one way about continuing with their career in April and then change their mind only for you to regurgitate it back to me as if I had no idea that "young" wrestlers might think this way as if that negated what I had said.

You seem to get a lot of things wrong here, but you are never in doubt.

This. Those same fans that hate the idea of Berge wrestling for Penn State would applaud Berge wrestling for SDSU. Then it would be all good.

And for the PI list that someone else mentioned, Berge was already wrestling as a coach.

Ah yes, noted Iowa fan @lu_alum.

I am curious as to what really led to the official retirement. Was it concussions, knee injury, both, or just HEW? When Gomez transferred, the rumor around central Iowa was that ISU's athletic staff would not clear him for competition which is why he transferred to Wisconsin (I'm sure Parker and Degen being back played a factor as well). If Berge was just tired, hurt, and done then I am glad he found the passion again and hope he goes 0-2 at B1Gs and fails to qualify the weight for PSU.

If you are suggesting I called lu_alum an Iowa fan, as shown above I did not. When I referred to the PI list I referred to  "someone else".

  7. Ethan Smith's last 4 matches against top 5 guys he did lose to those guys, but by a total of 8 pts over 4 matches. All of the matches were close. Correspondingly, he has upped his scoring in the matches he is supposed to win. Seems like he is primed to maybe pull an upset in the near future.

Hogan is term limited but definitely high approval here in MD, even amongst democrats. Most think he's contemplating a run at commander in chief, but hard to imagine a RINO winning the republican ticket in this climate. And I don't think Ficker has any chance at governor, but then again, a crazier person has won higher office.....

His approval is higher with Dems than with R's according to an article I read this week. He has no chance in any R Presidential primary.
