  1. J.D. Hawkins beat a lot of the top wrestlers back in the 1970s and even into the early 1980s. Never made a world team for some reason. I guess he just didn't beat them at the big tournaments.
  2. I suppose it is good to hold them to a high standard but I don't know how old you guys are. I am about the same age Dave Shultz would have been if he were still with us. I can remember the days of sitting through all kinds of commercials or staying up until 3 AM just to see one match on TV. And they usually would only show part of the match. We can now watch hours and hours of wrestling until our families start to send us to a self help group to stop. The paradigm is night and day from what it used to be.
