  2. Just a quick FYI guys... a full ride to GCU (tuition, fees, room, and board) is around the 26k range not 40k. After scholarships and aid in 2012 the average freshman only paid $7850 in tuition. Pretty good price tag for a private school. The current cumulative GPA of incoming freshman is in the 3.3 range. I do understand that we are unique in the fact that we have a for profit status, and being the first school to dive into this territory will cause confusion and even some frustration. But, I can tell you this university gives quite a bit back to the students and academics community within our institution (over 300 million in the past 3 years) in terms of infastructure, facilities, and more. We did all of this without accepting one dollar of tax payer subsidies ( check out what others are getting http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/taxpayer-subsidies-for-most-colleges-and-universities-average-between-8000-to-more-than-100000-for-each-bachelors-degree-new-study-finds-121713343.html ). The reality is in todays world of collegiate athletics, all schools are using athletics to promote their brand and bring in profit for thier respective schools, we are no different than any other school in that aspect. We are really looking forward to this move to Division 1, it should be an exciting step for us and for Division 1 wrestling to have a new member.
