Dake gets a title at 74 KG.
He is going to keep moving down in weight as he gets younger and secure titles consecutively at 70 KG and 65 KG.
The reverse of what he did in his former NCAA life.
    Good job, Benjamin Button!

dmm53 got a reaction from The Genius in Snyder and Taylor - need new RTC?
Rumor is that these two "losers" (mere multiple time World and Olympic Champions) have embraced the wisdom of Wrestling Forum advice and sought out new scenery and off-the-grid RTCs.
Upon returning from Oslo, they reportedly packed small handmade duffle bags and headed into a foreign desert—cloud hidden, whereabouts unknown—on horses with no name, where they plan to evacuate their full bellies and empty their conscious minds toward the goal of becoming grappling Zen masters.
They will train with powerful punching kangaroos (who have been bred to use Iranian under-hooks and Russian two-on-one ties), beneath the slowly shifting shadows of Saguaro Cacti.   They will push and pull  and push back some more against dancing Eurasian Brown Bears.  They will shoot thousands of single leg takedowns on legless Rattlesnakes and Sidewinders.
They will hypnotize Desert Owls with their focus and gaze, learn to scramble with the quickest Indian Grey Mongoose, and hand fight for hours with a rarely seen but legendary nomadic and crepuscular Octopus who dwells in the pool of a shimmering oasis.
After a long, hard, and painfully cold winter of training that ends with a punishing "vacation" to the Arctic tundra and a tournament against a team of veteran Polar Bears, they will return to civilization for the World Team Trials in Spring of 2022 before seizing the opportunity—and their destiny—to dispatch their respective Iranian and Russian nemeses in Serbia at the World Championships!
    Ad astra per aspera!

Many (perhaps most?) freestyle wrestlers sport beards.
Why is this so?  Any theories?
    Who has the best one?
    Who has the worst?
Are the un-bearded wrestlers the true iconoclasts and eccentrics?
Are bearded guys more likely to win and, if so, does Michael Beard have an advantage?

I disagree.   Taylor has beaten him three times in a row.  And he a greater offensive arsenal.   Yazdani is more powerful and stronger than everyone in the weight and has a range of skills that is smaller than DT.

Great tournament by Fix!   Three techs in a row without being scored on to reach the finals is impressive.
The Russian was able to prevent Fix from getting on top and that defensive legerdemain seems to have been enough.

It's Jason Knapp.  He's very good.  Knowledgable.  Focused on the action.   Provides stories and background but doesn't stray too far from what is going on.  He relies on the experts and insiders (e.g., John Smith) when he has them on.   He also has a pleasant voice.

The weight issue relative to one's running times is interesting.  From everything I've read and experienced myself, if you can lower your weight in a healthy manner, it will definitely improve your race times.   Here's one accessible article:
    https://thewiredrunner.com/does-weight-loss-make-you-run-faster/
As you age, of course, your maximum amount of oxygen declines (VO2) and so does your stride length, I think.
    https://www.cnet.com/health/your-vo2-max-explained/
The key thing I concern myself with is injuries when I start adding distance or speed work.   When I was much younger and much lighter in weight, I never got injured when I wrestled or ran (played soccer  or tennis or whatever other sport).   I discovered more recently that doing yoga seriously helped to maintain flexibility (and prevent injury) even if it is initially difficult to coordinate with distance running in terms of the muscle sets and the amount of time one has for it.
Good luck!  What marathon are you training for?  (Maybe you said and I missed it.).   It is an intense and memorable experience.   I recall hearing that after the Boston Marathon a runner once came up to Bill Rogers and asked him "How are you able to run so fast?" (he ran a 2:12 or something like that).  He replied to the much slower runner who had finished around 5 hours, "How are you able to run for so long?"

I think DT takes this hands down.  KD has this amazing ability to only hear his own voice, which I am a HUGE fan of.  DT has at least adapted to be able to hear Cael's voice, and I believe that is hands down the greatest attribute any of our current world team members has.
I believe regardless of cosmetics, that takes it for DT.
