  1. 1st round comparisons have been updated to reflect the bracket change at 125.
  2. 3 days to go! If you like using the WrestleStat comparisons, we've created a "Hub" page that will be used throughout all of Nationals this year. For each session, we'll be putting out these comparison pages, like the one linked above. Each time a new one gets released, we'll be updating this Hub page with the appropriate link. This way, you guys/gals can just bookmark a single page, and get to all the comparisons that we come up with. Should make it real easy while there so you don't have to hunt through message board posts... Here it is: https://wrestlestat.wordpress.com/2019/03/14/ncaa-wrestling-championships-wrestlestat-comparison-hub/
  3. And here's his response: That last section shows the significance of this....quarters 2 of 4 place, rd16 losers only 1, and rd32 only 1.
  4. Doesn't look good for WrestleStat already this year, not just because of the rankings, but how the wrestlers are SEEDED... Check out what my algorithm guy sent me explaining why we'll do poorly this year... He's sent subsequent emails clarifying that @SetonHallPirate is affected by this same scenario at 4 different weights (149, 184, 197, 285). Will be interesting now to see how the rankings hold up, though I'm not as confident as I was previously.
  5. Again, I'm gonna keep these on the blog so if there are any changes that need to be made (re-seeds/withdrawals/etc), then I'll only need to update 1 spot. https://wrestlestat.wordpress.com/2019/03/14/2019-ncaa-wrestling-championships-1st-round-comparisons/

  22. We've added another new feature on a schools profile page to show the history of how a school has performed in the NCAA Championships. This new tab will show the breakdown of the qualifiers/placements, for each weight in a season. Oh, and each one of those values is a link to the wrestlers profile that earned that placement. Gives a great high-level view of how a school has performed in the past. Just go to a schools profile page, then click the "Nationals History" tab, BOOM! Here are some examples to check out: Penn State: https://www.wrestlestat.com/team/60/penn-state/profile Iowa: https://www.wrestlestat.com/team/34/iowa/profile North Carolina State: https://www.wrestlestat.com/team/47/north-carolina-state/profile Cornell: https://www.wrestlestat.com/team/20/cornell/profile
  23. The postseason is here, and Tourney Pool is ready to go. There were quite a few enhancements this offseason, as well as a styling upgrade. If you're not familiar with the rules, here they are: 1) select 1 wrestler at each of the 10 weights 2) wrestlers are weighted based on their seed 3) you have 1000 points to spend across your 10 wrestlers 4) there are 3 tie breaker questions to answer, based on the ACTUAL team results of the tournament 5) the wrestlers that you selected earn the points that they are awarded in the actual tournament Users can join any public groups that exist. You can join a private group if you've been invited and know the password for the group. You can also create your own public or private groups. There are 2 official WrestleStat groups already created, 1 for B1G tournament, and 1 for Nationals. Quick note on seeds: Since have not been set yet, but you ARE able to make selections in the B1G group. I updated the top 8 seeds, based on Flo's recent article about their anticipated seeds. Once seeds have been officially release, WrestleStat will get them updated in Tourney Pool. If updating the seeds causes your submittal to go over the 1000 point maximum, it's up to you to change your picks so you can get down to the 1000 point maximum. We will send out friendly reminders prior to the tournament if there are still some submittals out there that are still over the 1000 point maximum. You can join as many groups as you like; last year there were 3 users that were members of more than 20 groups. Here's the link to get you started: https://www.wrestlestat.com/tourneypool/welcome Remember, all of this is a FREE service! If you'd like to help out WrestleStat, there's a green "Donate/Remove Ads" link at the top right of the page. Any amount is appreciated, $1, $5, $2499, whatever you want to do. Thanks again everyone, have fun!
  24. The final regular season rankings have been generated. Wrestler Rankings: https://www.wrestlestat.com/rankings/starters Dual Rankings: https://www.wrestlestat.com/rankings/dual Tournament Rankings: https://www.wrestlestat.com/rankings/tournament Redshirt Rankings: https://www.wrestlestat.com/rankings/redshirts Also, I made some adjustments to the RPI rankings to follow closer what the actual formula uses. It is as close to the real thing as we can get, without the NCAA telling us what the real formula is... RPI Rankings: https://www.wrestlestat.com/rankings/rpi
