Brock returns as honorary coach against Wisconsin Friday. Love when celebrities like Brock, DC, Cejudo, Askren, etc don’t forget where they came from. Should be an exciting dual also.

Its up to your preference, but I would just Incase. I have been to football games there and sit in the second section row J near one of the end zones. I am able to follow the action on the opposite end of the field, but I still prefer to watch the video board instead.

Glad to hear some first timers are making the trip this year! Hopefully my great state of MN shows you a good time.

This year will be my 8th and it is always a great time!

Some tips I would suggest for first timers

-most schools host a social at some point throughout the weekend. Find out when your favorite team’s is and attend.

-don’t expect to show up at the time a session starts and walk through the doors. For whatever reason the last two years have been slow at the entries.

-the semi finals/Blount round session are amazing be sure to be in your seat for that!

-it’s a marathon, not a sprint for the drinkers out there. Don’t let a fun Wednesday night ruin the rest of your weekend.

-check out fan fest. Usually some autograph sessions with famous wrestlers if that’s ur thing. Can purchase clothing and other wrestling murchandise. USA wrestling usually has a workout where u can watch all ur favorite stars.

That’s all I can think of for now. Maybe others have other tips. Enjoy!

Freddy stroker and Larry early III come to mind as I think about this more. Has stroker even been a starter for more than a season?

Im surprised we havent seen something like top 5 pinners, top 5 riders, or top 5 takedown artists like you would see on Espn or the NFL network. These kind of convos always end up several pages long on here guarenteed, and if flo did it right, got good commentary from coaches/wrestlers/ and even a few personalities on it, I think they would get lots of views.

I watch “Keepers of the Flame” like 5 times a year. I love the ones they do on the history of teams. Edinboro one was good too.

Enjoy!  It's the greatest 3 days of almost every year!  I think I went 4 years in a row before I even got up to take a leak.  It's delightful to be tuned into an awesome match and hear a loud roar and look across the gym, but beware, you're gonna miss a lot of good stuff, haha.   Get brackets!  I like to use the little cheap radio sets they sell to hear the on mat announcers.   You pick up a lot of little tid  bits that way.  I've been 20 times spread out over 50 years.

If the tournament was held in January, maybe. Minneapolis has been warmer than St. Louis, Cleveland and Pittsburgh each of the last three years during the same dates. It'll be chilly, but it won't be sub-zero (should have checked the Farmer's Almanac before posting this).

Totally disagree with the criticisms directed towards Eggum.  He has had to deal with some bad choices by some young men, and has made the best of some tough situations.  Even with some mediocre recruiting classes they are coming off a 4th in Big Ten (just 6 pts behind Iowa) and 8th at NCAAs.  Some of you are overreacting to the ugly Rider match, which was lightning in a bottle for the Broncs.  Ski-U-Mah!

I mean, Twin Cities metro area has a greater population than St. Louis metro area... slightly longer drive than from Chicago. It really is baffling how little some of you people know about Minnesota and the Twin Cities in general.

I was at Kinnick for the Iowa vs OSU dual - think there were 40K people there.  It was an unforgettable event and I don't remember a single person complaining about the views, it was great.  I'm not saying it'll match the experience 100% of a smaller venue but goodness gracious can we wait to see how  things pan out before people get up in arms and complain in absolutes about how it isn't going to work?
We need more people to go to NCAAs, we need new blood for NCAAs, we've outgrown the hockey and basketball stadiums, it's become too expensive for many people - this is a one year attempt to see how it goes.  It's absolutely worth doing and trying, I'm looking forward to it...
