Because you never wrestled your opinion matters more than anyone else. Wrestling could use more fans like you.

    Legend.

Says a lot that he is willing to bring in a guy that will beat him on his own mats in front of his coaches and team. Says even more that he is willing to post it publicly.

Snyder is a special kind of human. His humility is incrdible. Yes he has many natural gifts, but his mind is what truly separates him from the other freak athletes out there

I love this kid's humility and desire to constantly improve. He comes off as a really thoughtful, passionate, and measured young man. Every now and again, I have my own kids listen to him speak in his videos to show them that you can be the best at what you do, be confident and focused, but you don't have to be an unrepentant @$$#*!e while you do those things.

I've become a big fan of Kyle Snyder and think that he has surrounded himself with people who've gotten it right to assist in his development on, but especially off the mat.

I work with many Muslims and know what Ramadan is.  I understand the sacrifice and respect it greatly.  The statement was made that 90% of wrestlers were Muslim, which I found no proof of, and that 90% of freestyle medal winners were Muslim--verifiably not true.  The pretext was that because the majority of the best wrestlers were Muslim, scheduling of major meets should be done to avoid Ramadan.  My points are that the whole 90% claims were bogus, and that scheduling should take into consideration all religions if one religion receives it.

What do you look for in a coach?

    1) Leadership
    2) Organization
    3) Technical

If he checks those boxes, why not Buxton? I'm going to take a guess and assume he does.

I think we've all met wrestlers who have great credentials who are terrible coaches--can't explain anything, can't motivate anyone, no concept of organization, think that everyone should just be able to do what they do/did without being taught, cannot relate to anyone not like themselves.  How many NFL, NBA, or MLB coaches were superstars in their respective sports?  (And I know, wrestling is different, but the general concept I think remains consistent.)  The greatest coaches I worked with were not World or Olympic champs, some not even national champs.

Have JB and Chamizo trained together? I figured the challenge was issued because were friends, or at least friendly... but I guess Chamizo was doing an IG Live and Burroughs hopped on and asked when they were gonna wrestle - lol.

Chamizo is kind of an interesting ambassador for the sport. He travels the world to train, hangs out with celebs, makes media appearances, goes out and competes and lives kind of an "Instagram lifestyle". I get that the flashiness and self-branding turns some people off, but he does an amazing job showing the world - and esp younger fans - that it's cool to be a senior level world wrestler.

Chamizo is a gambler, moving up and down weights, trying things, a free-wheeling style.  If he loses at small meets (even Euros), not a big deal.  For the most part, he's a gamer who brings it when it counts.
