I was busy. Summer and work. Hard work. Congratulations to the USA! It was a historic season for you. 2017 in your hearts. My spy from Orange county, CA reported to me that many here began to insult me "a coward" and that I "hide" after the U.S. made history! This is not true! I am not hiding. Once again, I congratulate the United States on its historic victory. It's not respect to say that "I'm hiding". I'm not offended by the fact that the United States won the worlds. It's not respect to call me that I'm hiding! I have made for this forum a lot of information and posts for you. We must respect each other!

I am here! ask me about European wrestling! I will be happy to answer your questions :)

One thing is to shoot from your knees in HS or in your home basement, a whole other thing is to do the same on the international stage.

Nobody really invent anything. Also, it's not just the fact that he shoots from his knees, it's his reshot and the way he executes it that has revolutionized the sport. Lots of international wrestlers started to implement a JB reshot after watching him having success with it. Did Abdurakhmonov, Scott, Gomez, Akgul etc. use to shoot like that before JB? I really don't think so. A wrestler from my country who used to compete at worlds, started to use a double from the knees because of Jordan Burroughs. That's says a lot, I think.

As I mentioned in the OP, I agree Burroughs didn't invent anything. My point is that I believe he was the first person to be so successful with that low reshot that other people, even other countries, began to copy it. I saw a lot of it at this years world championships. Maybe I just didn't pay attention to it as much before Burroughs, but I feel he at least lead to its increase in popularity to some degree.

Mario DeCaro of San Francisco State University was using a low-single during the 1982-83 season. It was very similar to what John Smith's looked like when I saw it in 1988.

Honestly, I think Sadulaev would have eaten Yazdani alive.  Pushing into Sads is the worst think you can do.  Snyder beat him by hanging on top of his head with constant, very heavy pressure and wore him out.  I don't think Yaz had near the size, nor strength to be able to do so.

Chamizo looks like the smart kid in class who doesn't have to try, so the teacher calls him out and then he drops some insane knowledge and then true other kids are like, "sh_t, bro."
