  1. I'd go with Myles Martin. Who wound up getting MOW?
  2. I was wondering if anybody knew if this contest was happening this year? I don't exactly remember what the contest was called, but last year it was a lot of fun to fill out the brackets online for the contest. If anybody has any knowledge about it I would greatly appreciate it.
  3. Mizz matches up well with NC ST in the dual, I see them winning. Just briefly looking at lineups I think they are closer at the NCAA tournament
  4. Soon after I finish up PA school its gonna be free, I'll be stuck paying student loans till I'm 50 from that and undergrad, and I'll be paying taxes for college educations lol. So it goes, at least we have some good wrestling to look forward to!
  5. it was 3-3 at the end of the first period. Nolf starts the second on bottom and got an escape. Imar hit with stalling twice and its 5-3 Nolf. Takedown to his back off a scramble and Nolf stuck him. First period was very close, I-Mar looked like he was gassing by the end. Nolf is relentless on bottom..
  6. According to flo. Good pickup for the Bucks as they filled a much needed recruiting need at 157/165 (assuming Bo eventually moves up) http://www.flowrestling.org/article/39188-breaking-isaiah-white-commits
  7. Very glad Ryan gave him the release. I would say this is mutually beneficial to both tOSU and Haines, but Haines would be an asset to tOSU regardless of whether or not he would have ever earned a shot to wrestle at NCAAs. On a semi related note, does Haines's departure mean that Snyder will most likely wrestle a full 4 college seasons? I had no inside information at all, but I had a slight feeling that Snyder's Olympic Redshirt was pulled because there was a decent chance that he wanted to move on from college and focus on his freestyle career. I figured he would wrestle at NCAAs this year, and if (big if) he won the Olympics that would be the end of his NCAA career and Haines would be the tOSU Heavyweight for the following 2 years. I'm probably way off and thinking too deep into this considering I'm not a tOSU guy and have no inside info, but I have seen others express similar thoughts about Snyder's future so I'd like to see what everyone else thinks.
  8. Not that surprising but Thomas Haines has been granted a release from tOSU and will be enrolling at Lock Haven. http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/m-wrestl/spec-rel/012016aaf.html
  9. Today I learned that Ohio State is not a good school... Or this guy's dog is a genius.
  10. LOL this does not mean Tom Ryan doesn't care about duals. Safer to say that this is either Snyders last year wrestling in the NCAA or he doesn't wish to prolong his collegiate career and will be done in 4. Ryan might as well use Snyder while he can if Kyle is willing to compete
  11. I only posted this because Christian Pyles put it up on his twitter account. Looks like Russian wrestlers will be in Rio, which is good. I guess i got fooled by the Flowrestling clickbait.
  12. This is cool. How much of a favorite would Snyder be against Gwiz or hypothetically McIntosh/Cox (If Snyder was returning to 97). Crazy to think that a returning world champ may not the biggest lock for a title at NCAAs. As of right now I would probably say that Ringer is the biggest lock, with I-mar and Dean having just about an equal chance to win NCAAs as Snyder. I think Gwiz vs Snyder could be potentially the best HWT final that we have seen in years; they are both so athletic and offensive. For clarity I will say I believe that Snyder would beat anybody currently wrestling at the NCAA level in freestyle, and I think he will represent the US at 97kg in Rio and medal.
  13. I don't know how credible the article is but if it has any legs to it this is a big deal. Non Russian wrestlers would certainly benefit from this, but if the Russian wrestlers are clean I want to see them in Rio. The Russians are some of the most exciting wrestlers to watch, and it would be a shame if we couldn't see them in the biggest event for our sport
  14. Sorry if this is old news, I know the issue with doping in Russia is not new but it looks like Russia may be banned from the 2016 Olympics http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2603352-russia-reportedly-expected-to-miss-2016-rio-summer-olympics?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=share&utm_campaign=web-mob-art-bot-7805
