  1. Agreed. Might be my favorite non-American wrestler right now. Very skilled and exciting. Was shocked to see him up so heavy, but not surprised he was successful. He is a stud. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. If JB wins the open and gets a bye at the trials, does Dake run back up? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Lee, Fix, and Yianni are ranked, but not Gable Stevenson? Seemed a bit surprising to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Of course I do. The poster was making it seem as if there is no rational way anyone could be picking Dudley over Nickal. The fact is Dudley just won a weight at Midlands with the 2 people who beat Nickal last year. It is certainly rational to think Dudley could win this match and even call him the favorite.
  5. Dudley just won a tournament where the guy who beat Nickal in the finals last year got beaten up pretty badly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Come on guys. Wrestling coverage is perfect. Why would you ever say anything negative? There is no possible way it could improve.
  7. No, not at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Looks like he dove head first into MMA. PEDs and all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. What was the total attendance in LA? Think it will be more or less an Iowa City? I couldn't care less who attends as long as butts are in the seats. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Dean/nickal is #1 for me. Clark/Tomasello is more interesting than Brock/Tomasello Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. You are making two separate arguments that do not follow logically. 1. In one post you say that Hall doesn't have the credentials of a David Taylor, and therefore should not be allowed in. 2. In the 2nd you say everyone should be treated equally, regardless of credentials. If one of your arguments is correct the other one cannot be. I tend to agree with #1 that Midlands does look at credentials when determining who will wrestle there. If that is the case, then you have to consider Hall based on his credentials, and you have to put him above 80-90% of the entrants if not more. So, sorry if the Midlands wants to make an exception for Hall because he is a stud who is going to get people talking about and watching the tournament, but at the same time denies some RFR from another school because they applied late. Midlands should be worried about putting a great tournament together and drawing fans, not about being fair to some backup from Northern Colorado who might have his feelings hurt if they let Hall in and not him.
  12. What lesson does it send to guys? It sends that they're not as good as Mark Hall. That is a lesson I'm sure they already know. Maybe they should get to share his world championship too.
  13. This comes up a lot in the college forum about best to never win an NCAA title. How about on the international side for US wrestlers? I'm thinking about guys that have made at least a couple of attempts at a team since there are plenty of college guys that never even try. Dake probably has to be at the top of this list considering his NCAA accomplishments. Taylor and Pendleton are recent guys. Who else can you think of?
  14. Ringer just beat the Olympic bronze. Does that not make him world class? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Not even close. Not even a top 5 in the last 5 years. In fact, he was only #3 in his class. Just like Gullibon was. Let's just let him wrestle a few matches before we assume him beating Gilman this year. He might turn out to be Nico, or he might turn out more like Gullibon.
