    Flo Wrestling log in issues

is it just me? or would a drop down menu be too much to ask? The new flat look doesn't address the UI/UX experience very much....just flatter...
  3. I missed the part where he "apologized" for his and his Cael's behavior in Lincoln, or any subsequent activity on social media. I don't dislike David but if he has no desire to apologize for anything he has done, he shouldn't. A disingenuous apology is far worse than NO apology.

    No National Duals Next Season

Any National Duals Championship should be a week after D1 Tournament and with a generous weight allowance. 4 team max maybe even just the top 2. Next year it doesn't matter because PSU vs Ohio State will already of happened during the regular season.

Flo Reporting Sadulaev is going 97

UWW does not allow ANY carryover from a different weight class. Helen Maroulis is a defending Olympic Champion and in Paris she will be unseeded. I can understand docking maybe 10% of the seeding points per change of weight class, but to suggest that a defending Olympic Champion deserves NO credit for ...you know ... winning the Olympics within the last year....well that's UWW for you... They just can't help but do stupid s___ and for whatever reason not realize it. So...maybe they meet in the finals.....maybe they meet in the first round...same stupid s___

    Seeding at Worlds

There is 1 MAJOR FLAW in this system. To somehow completely disregard the results of an athlete because they were in a different weight class is a HUGE mistake. I can understand the sentiment but there needs to be at least some PARTIAL carryover of points from a different weight class. Option #1 - A wrestler loses 10% maybe 20% of their point values for competing in a different weight class. Maybe 10% less for every weight class you jump or drop. Ex: Helen would get 80% of her 53 kg value at the Olympics since she is jumping 2 classes to get to 58 kg or 90% of her 55 kg points. This is made even more relevant by the fact that they are in the process of revamping the weight class categories.

    Help with UWW site!

    Maybe this will help https://unitedworldwrestling.org/event/u23-european-championships
  10. ex: Can Jordan sit out Vegas and still be the #1 seed in Lincoln. also can Helen sit out of challenge tournament at a different weight? (I can't see her going 53kg again unless it is for Tokyo, weights will probably be different by then anyways)
  11. Maybe because last year was so good. 1. Olympic year and Snyder becomes "youngest world champion in United States history" and then renounces redshirt to take on Gwiz 2. Nolf vs Imar rivalry...nothing this year comes close 3. St Louis is a good venue but.....Madison Square garden is on a whole other level. 4. doesn't mean it won't be as good or better than last year......just a lot less hype beforehand. 5. Wrestling is an individual sport, so matchups between stars is what it is all about. If the best thing you have to hang your hat on is the team race..then maybe something is missing.
  12. stream is actually pretty high quality 1080 p its 10:36 central time It would be nice if USA/Flo ran ppv on YouTube for Nationals and WTT. More exposure, better option for non-flo subscribers and better quality of stream. also Helen got stuck in a scramble and pinned last night.

    Odunayo vs Mattsson

She has those John Fischer like doubles. If I remember correctly Danial Igali (her coach) had posted some social media that complained about the lack of training conditions and opportunities leading up to the Olympics. Not taking anything away from Sofia but that may have been a factor in her poor Rio performance. I would love to see her train and compete in the U.S., she has a tremendous amount of still untapped potential. If she ever seriously trained MMA and found a good gym here in the U.S. I could easily see her becoming a dominant world champion at 115 lbs.

    Ranking 133 after this weekend

I think dual meet Zane with the one hour weigh in may not be effective as tournament Zane. Tomasello isn't really cutting weight so I wouldn't expect to see much of a change in his performance between the two formats. That being said Tomasello is going to wear people out, his motor is more "Synder" like this year.

    Illinois v. tOSU Predictions

27-10 Ohio State 133 Zane with the upset 157 Langenderfer 165 Imar by major = 10 points Ohio State = everything else
  17. I don't blame NBC because as much as I wanted to see it, apparently not enough non-wrestling fans or otherwise, did want to see it. (at least I assume that is the reason....$$$$) The real reason is that UWW, after an incredible world championships, simply did nothing to seed the top 4 (with consideration for non-olympic finalists). Even after the last chance qualifier, they had months to build and promote potential matchups. Nobody even knew who was going to wrestle who until less than 24 hours before the tournament. Don't even get me started on Burroughs wrestling Gedeuv at 10:30 in the morning in front of very few fans and viewers. 53 kg women had an incredible "fab 4" to promote in Helen, Yoshida, Adekore and Sophia. Every individual combative sport has a simple formula for success. 1) build stars 2.) build matchups 3.) promote events with great matchups. The Olympics fiasco was inevitable, in fact they got lucky that Helen and Yoshida were on opposite sides of the bracket. (they could have met in the first round) also Flo is working on Helen doc, just not sure it fits their demographic and they don't sell or promote their docs on Amazon, You Tube or otherwise so if she is going to reach a broader non-wrestling audience it won't be through a Flo doc. Still, I like what Bader and company are doing and look forward to it.
  18. should be able to track the ipad with with the "find my iphone" (shows all your devices) unless it has been wiped clean. Gotta be quick about it though, like Logan on a single leg. chances are it's not an isolated incident, police might be more helpful than you think, also I'm sure this is the type of story that will quickly make it to the local news.
  19. I was at the Farrell doing some video and photography. https://twitter.com/FloWrestling/status/797217500534554624?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw My 2 Cents... Kennedy was worn out from his war with Imar....if JO wrestled Imar he would have faded against Kennedy and lost. I think they are much closer than that score indicates. JO was also maybe in the 90% range against Green. Green knew this and wrestled a couple of very smart and tactically sound matches. That said JO did wrestle very well at the Farrell and if Green wasn't allowed to sit through the day tournament..I'm not sure that he ends up being the rep.

    Women Cadet

Cadet UWW Trials for Cadet Women was at BodyBar which was way back in April (I think). The growth factor seems to affects Cadets the most. Boyd looked even bigger and stronger at Worlds.
  21. The UFC is making it's long awaited debut at Madison Square Garden......so Freestyle Friday it is.

    Junior Worlds

In this case I might be on the whiners side. As of a week ago it would have been a totally free livestream (maybe on YouTube) and archived on the UWW site. Flo is essentially competing against nobody to buy the rights and hoard the content behind a paywall. I'm not sure if the practice of shipping matches over to the USA Wrestling YouTube Channel is over or not. Since the Olympic Qualifier last December there has been very little content available. No Juniors from Vegas, Olympic Last Chance Qualifier, UWW World Team Trials, Beat The Streets. The common denominator seems to be the performances of athletes such as Mark Hall and Daton Fix. I enjoy Flo but it is hard to build a sport behind a paywall. They have done really well creating Facebook content but have pretty much a zero presence on YouTube. They do a good job of creating content for the existing fanbase of wrestling but in today's market YouTube is an essential part of growth for pretty much anything you want to try to sell to new fans.

    Grand Prix of Spain

no did not wrestle. Helen, Elena and Adeline are there for the camp but did not compete. Does anybody know if any of the matches have been archived in anyway (youtube ...etc)
