Pretty embarrassing for the program, but like other stated above its not really a reflection on Ryan or the program.

Fun facts - I had class with Agazarm a few years back, never wouldve picked him for this sort of thing, but after a few drinks who knows, people act very different.
4th street is actually an awesome bar.
I used to live in the house that sits on the corner the incident took place on - those side streets are super sketchy and definitely not somewhere you want to go walking alone after a few drinks.

That being said, it's not like it was the victims fault, the two assailants are obviously pretty low in moral values..etc.

Obviously, PSU has won the last 2 Titles so they pretty much guaranteed themselves top billing in the "last 3".  Still, if you want to "bigmik" the numbers to best suit you, there are ways to argue for tOSU.

1.) PSU has finished 6,1,1 at NCAA's  tOSU has gone 1,3,2.  So, PSU has averaged 8/3=2.667th place, while tOSU has averaged 6/2=2nd place.
2.) PSU has finished 5,2,1 at B1G's. tOSU has gone 1,3,1.  PSU again averaged 2.667th place, while tOSU improved to 1.667th place.
3.) tOSU has had at least 2 NCAA Finalists the past 3 years, PSU has not.
4.) tOSU had a wrestler win his 4th Championship during this time.  PSU has yet to have one.
5.) tOSU destroys PSU in oral hygiene, which is easily witnessed by their superior tanning techniques.
6.) Tom Ryan endorses the National Duals Concept.

...he better pose with the same official that missed BoJo's first takedown and swallowed his whistle after giving an accurate stall warning but didn't have the guts to throw the well deserved stall point.....imho.....

It's not that he lost to Stieber that I was emphasizing, it was how it happened. Stieber baited him repeatedly and he kept taking it.

Great photo. I didn't have a rooting interest but it seemed as if IMar panicked and took an unnecessary risk with so much time remaining, and only down by a point.

Push out rule = objective institutionalized stalling, not wrestling.Subjective stalling calls at least retain the possibility of promoting actual wrestling.

I do agree that was some bad officiating there and I have to admit I am a buckeye, but don't leave it to the refs. Get your points, constantly push. And one other thing enough of the true freshman kid talk, Hall is 20 years old. He is no fresh out of high school kid.

The officiating was suspect the entire tournament in regards to stalling.

    It's still too subjective.

Yes, the officiating in the match was bad. Really bad. But what can you do? Just be happy that freestyle season is around the corner!

Also, I agree on this true freshman crap. Isn't he something like 4 months younger than Kyle Snyder whi just wrestled at his third championships? Great job (I guess) on getting a title, but don't pretend you're a rookie taking on this old veteran. That's just nonsense.

He talked trash on Snyder during the season and when he finally got a shot to back it up vs a less than 100% Snyder, he got blasted.

Sometimes I read comments on the message board here and I just shake my head. My knowledge of wrestling, as I have said, is nowhere near a lot of people on this site but I acknowledge that as opposed to a lot of people on here who think they know everything and know less than me. What I do know, and what a lot of people seem to miss, is the concept of being an athlete and why you do what you do. In most people's mind, Kyle Snyder doesn't have anything to prove to anybody in the entire wrestling world. So why does he keep wrestling? As wrestlingnerd said it's for pride, love of the sport and 100 other reasons that have nothing to do with trying to prove yourself. The concept of being a member of a team and realizing a goal that you have all worked for however many months. The concept of working towards an individual goal in a sport that you enjoy. The idea of winning a second and potentially a third NCAA title. I don't know him personally but I'll guarantee you the loss
in the finals his freshman year bothers him to no end. He could be that close when it's all said and done to being a four-time champion . Yes the Olympic gold medal is the ultimate but the steps along the way are important to an athlete as well . The fact that he is out there at all helping his team try and win an NCAA title speaks volumes about him as the team title could be the pinnacle of most of his teammates careers. I'll leave you with this. In an interview with Garrett Lowney for a "Where are They Now?" article, he said the part of wrestling that he missed the most was not the awards, the meets, bronze medal or anything like that. It was the daily practices, the daily grind of working with his teammates that he missed the most. IMO, Kyle Snyder is wrestling for tOSU because he wants to and, rib injury or not, if he can go he will.
