Ugh if you really want be semantical then please acknowledge that you used the word "coincide" rather than "coincidence" and I replied back that Safesport was a result. 
A coincidence is when an event occurs simultaneously, a result is when a reaction occurs due to an action. Now I will get off my high horse and agree that Safesport was necessary and better late than never, and arguing over an adjective is not what any of us want to do when we have a PD3 to hate-watch this weekend.

They have an outside shot to get one. An 8th in my opinion. Every time I’ve seen them they wrestle hard. The way the they wrestled in the finals is what you want to see at state or nationals. 
Again, I think they have outside shot to have one wrestler win 4 matches and get 8th. 

From everything I’ve seen and been told the cupboard was pretty bare when Ruschell got the job. I think he’ll get them back back where they were, it’ll just take time

The crux of this issue is that people don’t understand that there can be both. To do so will take initiatives to get quality coaching spread out. 
 
Things as simple as making the effort to help younger coaches with understanding with handling the non technique/wrestling side of wrestling so they don’t stop coaching because they had no idea how to handle those aspects would make a big difference.

It is utterly fascinating to me and a coaching buddy how things that are well known deterrents to new people are blown off by people who either.. blow it off or make excuses like “generational”
One would also think that this generation actually needs wrestling more so than past generations. For those very same excuses given for shrinking numbers. 

oh yes there’s the youth coach line “if a kid doesn’t first join cause of a singlet he’s not tough enough anyway”.. which is ridiculous on so many levels
And do people not realize that we should want my to get people more involved? Or is it cooler to be part of the shrinking “tuff” crowd.
