LLB reacted to Medicine_Man in Why was the pegboard such a big deal in Vision Quest?
Mastering the pegboard is a metaphoric conquest, often with associated with the conquest of the opposite sex, which was revealed in the movie when Louden hooked up with Carla...so yeah, it was a pretty big deal.

Why would Marsteller be seeded ahead of these guys?

False. Not even close.

Am I nuts or are Snyder's chances of being a three time champ in serious jeopardy?

Oh, and we can thanks JTTS as the origin of the "I really enjoyed the ..... era". Guy was knowledgeable, but what a tool.

To be fair, Marinelli got the win, period. That said, he was taken down twice, definitively, and were it not for an attempted big move by Joseph, he loses. Great match and looking forward to the reprise. Whoever shows up in March wins 165.

Then tell me how the Bull won? His aggressiveness? His shots? Come on, now.

LLB reacted to MSU158 in I am enjoying the Bull Era
I said he was special. Still, Joseph beats him comfortably if he doesn't force that position. Marinelli was well coached to keep his hips back and try to keep his lock as close to the waist as powssible. As soon as Joseph went for the trip Marinelli was able to lower and tighten his lock at the waist and Joseph lost his leverage advantage.
I would still pick Joseph because I just don't think Marinelli can create his own offense against him. But, Joseph better respect him or this could happen again.

Joseph got cocky and paid for it. He thought he could big brother Marinelli and the bull stepped up. Impressive!

Next time around Joseph will think twice about that trip. I don't see it working on Martinez again.

I still think Joseph beats Marinelli 8 out of 10 times.

LLB reacted to RecHall in PSU v tOSU
You mad? Face it, your team choked it away. Moore didn’t show up and get beat, Bo Jordan got out worked in the final period, Myles got completely out wrestled (wasn’t close), and your Olympic champ gassed and couldn’t score enough takedowns. Everyone (myself included) thought the match was over after 141, but one team showed up in the 2nd half of the dual and the other didn’t. Best of luck the rest of the way.

PSU could have put Verkleeren or Berge on the mat. They made a choice to not do that.
They are quality depth if Coach Sanderson wanted to take off the rs.

Anything but a Penn State fan. Rasheed deserves to be the starter.

LLB reacted to PANewbie in Was the PSU / tOSU dual the best one you've seen?
I'm sure Snyder enjoyed destroying Penn State.

LLB reacted to buckshot1969 in Was the PSU / tOSU dual the best one you've seen?
Thoughts on the dual:
-When Nick Lee lost I gave up completely. It was all about matchups from then on out, I just wanted to see Hall and Nickal win.
-I was shocked that Cassar came out, I definitely would have gone with a HR hitter in that spot since it seemed like it was PSU's only chance
-Nick Nevills has been nothing but frustrating this season. Who in the hell loses to a backup from NC State then takes down Snyder twice?
-My favorite moment was reading Cael's lips after it was over and him telling Nevills "You can beat him". What a coach!
-Between me wanting Rasheed to wrestle tonight and not thinking Nevills should have put on weight this season it's obvious that I am stupid. In Cael We Trust.
