  3. Spencer Lee, Fix and Yainni all very much in the mix for 2020 team.
  4. Technically the Continental Qualifying tourney is separate from Pan Ams, but your question still stands (for that event). Well, at 65 Zain lost to a guy from Cuba (who also did not qualify his weight for the Olympics) so he will be at Pan Ams. If there is no true second and he is in the same half of draw as us, we would have a problem. Also, as they say, "anything can happen".
  5. Thanks. Do you also happen to know if they do a "true second". The reason I am asking is bc if they don't and we send Zain (or whoever) and hit him before the finals, we could have an issue. BTW, the Last Chance tourney is scheduled only a couple of days before OTT so no way that anyone we send to Last Chance will also be at OTTs. Even scarier, if we send someone to last Chance and they don't get it done, that weight would be cancelled at OTTs.
  6. Yes and no. Yes, for obvious reasons. No, bc it is unlikely he continues to hold the spot on the team.
  7. How many guys can we send at each weight? 1? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. I see JO and a couple others on Twitter talking about going to Dagestan. I don’t see any events there this year though. Any idea what they may be talking about? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. It's all about priorities. Accurate and timely info to the public has never been a priority of USA Wrestling.
  12. Yianni played it right and Zain played it wrong.
  13. Minimally, he could have released and not given up the 4. He cannot seem to give up Folkstyle tendencies.
  14. He’s been wrestling Freestyle long enough now that he should not be making mistakes that cost him matches. 1. US Open 2017, JO beats him bc Zain cannot grasp the Freestyle hands to the face rule, as well as protect against a “proper throw”. 2. 2018. JO beats Zain again this time due to Zain not being smart enough to give up 2, instead turning his back to JO allowing himself to be slammed for a 5 pt move. AWL. 3. 2019 Dogu. Instead of walking Yianni out of bounds for 1, he stays on his back (guess he was looking for riding time) and gets planted on his back for 4 (5 point swing). Is this poor coaching or is Zain not that bright? He will continue to crush guys that he simply outclasses with talent, strength and conditioning, but given his track record, I don’t see how anyone can feel confident in his ability to win big Freestyle marches against elite talent home or abroad. 15. How about competitive porn? No-one could beat the Germans. Screw the Olympics. Worst year of the quad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
