VAtoSC reacted to Twooooo in Iowa 2022-23 Lineup
Would you knock it off with that crap?!? For the love of Pete. I know you only say stuff to get reactions like this but it gets GD old to watch you type crap like this. No one, and mark my words, no one is competing next year with PSU, they will run away from everyone next year. All last weekend, oh, Iowa is going to win, Oh, Michigan will have this wrapped up before Saturday night, dude, shut up!! PSU is and will be the favorite next year and a big favorite at that. Iowa is competing with no one next year for a team title.

VAtoSC got a reaction from Major Kong in Rankings-competing
Agreed! I understand some stuff staying in house. But fans, especially now in the age of information in a second at your fingertips, want to know things about wrestlers in the program. Look at football, basketball, baseball, etc. Constant information injuries, redshirts, eligibility, etc. Most wrestling programs=stonewall.

Been trying to find out about Deakin. NU treats this like a State secret, as do most schools. No effort to encourage fan involvement or interest. When more schools drop their programs, this will be a big, set-inflicted reason why.

Woods and Suriano are not certified according to Track and thus not eligible to compete as of right now.

VAtoSC reacted to Idaho in GoFundMe for Jason Nolf's Sister and Her Children
Very cool to see so many wrestler's names....teammates...opponents...parents of wrestlers...coaches... A really cool testament to the community of wrestling.

VAtoSC reacted to Mokoma in Can we just get Marinelli & Joseph to meet somehwere?
I don’t think that will be the final at 133 (at least I hope not). I’d like to see Hall/Kemerer and Lee/Pletcher go at it again also.

VAtoSC reacted to Idaho in I think we all know where this is going to end up
Hello, my name is Idaho....and I'm a wrestlingaholic....

VAtoSC reacted to nhs67 in Heavyweight in 2020/2021
Remember when the USA lineup for PWC was announced and folks were outraged that he got jipped because there was no HWT?
So stoked to see him up against Amos at 220.

Isn't a quarantine effectively stalling against the virus? Just wish we could see a consistent approach from our officials...

VAtoSC got a reaction from Bryan in National Prep School Championships Underway on Flo
I heard Mata has gotten hurt, he's been out of Blair's lineup most of the season.
No one heard anything about why the Mastro's were both not at Preps?

VAtoSC reacted to AO_CoachPhil in National Prep School Championships Underway on Flo
He comes from Albany, GA. started wrestling at age 10 with his dad's club in Albany, Moved to the Atlanta area to train with Level Up and Terrystyle before going to Sem. Where he ends up will be determined by an awful lot of prayer and whoever his mama trusts the most to take care of her baby child. :) But that's not a worry for another two or three years. Right now he's just having fun and loving the sport.

VAtoSC reacted to Hotkarl712 in Interesting Article on Iowa Wrestling and Desanto's Injury
There is nothing interesting about this "article" it's more like the ramblings of a massive Iowa fanboy, and that's fine but don't call it news.

A nice article written by a guy who clearly doesn't know anything but he wrote a one/two page article about what he doesn't know. ;_;

VAtoSC reacted to Mphillips in Parris-Cass Video
I didn't forget. I beat that drum too. I started watching him his junior year and made a point to keep up with him. He has continued to improve and greatly.
Romero out of OSU never focused on wrestling either and it was obvious. His improvements over last year are significant, but not Parris significant.

VAtoSC got a reaction from AZ_wrestling in Parris-Cass Video
What people are forgetting about Parris is that he never concentrated on wrestling. He was a stud football player in HS (among other sports) and wasn't fully set to wrestle in college til late in the recruiting process. Last he wrestled as a true freshmen, and was slightly undersized. The growth everyone is seeing is from someone is now fully invested in wrestling only. Because of his athleticism he was able to make a large jump in 1 year and he's only going to continue to get better.
Like others have said, the Heayweight weight class at Nationals is loaded for the next 3-4 year. Steveson (true Sophomore), Parris (true sophomore), Cassiopi (redshirt freshman), Hilger (redshirt sophomore), Kerklivet (redshirt), Schultz (redshirt), Fernandes (grayshirt), Orndorff (redshirt sophomore), Catka (VT recruit), and potentially Amos (Wisconsin recruit) / Ferrari (Ok St recruit) but I've heard both might go 197.

VAtoSC got a reaction from TBar1977 in Facundo to Penn State
Could be a scary group of upperweights for them if he can. I have to imagine with his wingspan, he can be devastating with the Cael ankle pick.
-
VAtoSC got a reaction from MikePorcelli in Facundo to Penn State
I really like his attacking style, very slick on his feet. Question for me is can he be a 165lber in college? PSU seems set at 174, 184, and 197 the next few years with Starocci, Brooks, and Beard.

VAtoSC reacted to HokieHWT in Toughest b.a. duo from your school's wrestlers
Not sure I understand this, is it the two toughest ever?
that would be Scott Justus (SEAL) and Devin Carter (complete hamstring tear to NCAA finals in the same year)

VAtoSC reacted to TobusRex in Head Coach Candidates
He'd be near the top of my list if I was interviewing for wrestling coaches.

VAtoSC reacted to Creek chub in Head Coach Candidates
VT’s Frayer is probably a lead candidate for coaching vacancies. An Olympian, great recruiter, can still roll with anyone and spank most too. I think he and his family like Blacksburg so it would take a highly preferred job and location for him to leave
