Without getting into any debate over who should be where in the top 4 pre-seeds, does anyone think that there is a likely Big 10 Champ who would NOT be a top 4 seed?  I could go a step further, and venture a guess that very few, if any outside the top 4 have any meaningful chance of making the Big 10 finals.

Possibly Brucki at 97, I think he's capable of beating anyone. Murin could win at 49, too, but he should be seeded ahead of Thomas.

So maybe the B10 at 197 looks like this?

    1. Schultz

    2. Caffey

    3. Dean

    4.  Warner

Even if you flip flop Caffey & Dean they still end up 2 & 3 right?  And since Schultz beat Warner and was undefeated in the B10 at 197 - not sure there is any other way for the seeding to go, eh?

I know Dean beat Warner - did Caffey and Warner meet?

Caffey and Warner didn't wrestle this year

Anyone who has ever been to Greeley questions why the #25 recruit in the country would go there.  Compounded with the lack of national success UNCO has - primarily due to serious annual injures - and this is a real headscratcher.  Maybe he knows somebody on the staff.

He wasn't ranked that high until he beat Van Ness in April right? I don't remember where he was ranked, but he certainly wasn't top 25.

Wow. Wisconsin will be sneaky good next year.

    Barnett (7th)

    Wick (top 4ish)

    McNally (top 10ish)

    Amos (title contender?)

    Hillger (6th)

1 or 2 others step up, and you have yourself a podium team

It’s still a long shot, but that’s a good amount of firepower

Can Hamiti go at 157? Or is he gonna be 165.

I don’t think you have a hole at 141 or 149 regardless of what Suriano does. You have Parco and Vasquez. Not sure why people are sleeping on him. Came in with as much potential as anybody. But 184, now that’s a different story. Munoz probably bumps up there in a year, if not sooner. But hopefully a transfer comes in to fill for 2021-22.

They have Wilner coming in as well, do you know what weight he projects at?

3 more Iowa kids who were very close:

Cory Clark lost 1 career match to Jack Hathaway as a senior. Avenged it for his 4th title.

Teske and Thomsen split matches their senior year to give each other their only career losses en route to 4 titles.

Another that comes to mind is Schriever. I don't know if he had losses before this, but he broke his ankle (or something like that), tried to wrestle the state tournament on it, but had to forfeit out in the semis. Finished with 3 titles.

Yeah, a relative of mine ended up beating Schriever due to injury in the state tournament.
