Escobedo loses.  Tough to tell scoring.  Angel looked like he should have received two that wasn't awarded.  Then they put him on the shotclock, and loses 1.  then gets a TD to go up 2-1 before the break.  Gets taken down in the second.  2-3. Then you can't tell how they score the next exchange on the edge, but its either 1 or 2 for the other guy.  Then angel tries to make something happen in the final seconds and gets tossed for 4.

I'm mildly surprised Graff and Scott are not going to any of these.  Perhaps one of them will be going to the Pan Am tournament (not the qualifier... thinking that would probably be Ramos, but the Pan Am tournament they have every year).

From what I understand Graff has a really hard time making the weight. The less weigh ins the better for him, possibly.

Burroughs beating people.  Nelson still alive.  No, I believe a Turkish guy beat Hasanov, not Vallimont.

Hopefully Magomedov does not FF to Akgul.

Ok..themat.com said Vallimont vs Hasanov first round matchup in their article last night

Well I don't know what round it was but Burroughs beat his opponent 5-0 in the match I just watched (around 5:40 pst).

Looked like he was in cruise mode. Played defense most of the match and only took 3-4 real shots. Converted a blast double while on the shot clock and a push out right at end of first period. Got behind his opponent off of a counter in the second for his second and last takedown.

Also his opponent looked tiny, almost like a 65 kg as opposed to 74. Did anyone else see this match?

He often looks like he's exerting less than 100% in earlier round matches.  He's had a number of matches that ended up being nail biter types of scores over the past several years just because he's seemingly in cruise control until the last minute (and even then too if he can be)

I just saw two of JB's early round matches on replay at the site. His par terre game is getting nasty!

Why are Burroughs and Akgul who are two of the best wrestlers in the sport competing in front of a crowd of approximately 0 people? And a stream that looks like it's being filmed on someone's old phone. I don't like the singlet but stuff like this is a way bigger problem. I mean the stream didn't even have a scoreboard and wherever they were wrestling didn't appear to even have seats for spectators.
