Rutgers vs Iowa State

Recommended Posts

Tanner Weatherman beat Zanneti last year at Midlands 8-6 and this year 9-7 OT.

Gadsen looked good as did Moreno

Rinaldi stalled most the match against Beard

Our lightweights weren't ready to wrestle and Rutgers were.

come on buffy, seriously, stalling all match? after poking the kid in both eyes and doing nothing but pushing and diving straight in, your going to get locked up all night. why the push in the back? kind of cheap no? rinaldi actually was in on more shots than beard, and if you don't want go down in the 3rd theres no reason to take any chances, I think thats smart against a kid thats wrestling dirty and just diving in, bottom line he got the win. hard to see after both eyes have been poked. but seriously why the push in the back? I saw nothing that led up to that on rinaldis part, did u see something we missed?

Nice to see ISU get a W.

Jackson is really struggling. ISU won only 4 duals last year and has not been above .500 since his first year as head coach - 3 years ago (Varner and Zabriske winning titles, 3rd at ncaa and only dual losses were close ones to Iowa). I think starting true fr Meeks is a move of desperation.

Good match..both teams pretty evenly matched...Rutgers 5th year Senior at 141 getting pinned like that was tough to watch...True frosh Theabold looked very good at 149 and don't know if we'll ever see Mason again there...RU will have another big match next friday at home vs Lehigh

I was just going to ask why Mason didn't wrestle (if he got reinjured).

I can't imagine Theobold is as good as Mason. It's Mason's last year (and Theobold's first) you have to give Mason the shot to AA even though he's been a disappointment.
