SC_Wrestling 71 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Snyder is officialy my favorite wrestler in this NCAA, a takedown machine. 7 takedowns against a junior world champ should not be easy like it was. Not surprising a senior world champ crushing a junior world champ
rwalkowiak1 2 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Did anyone see what Huntley did to get DQed? Michigan Wrestling's twitter page says that Huntley "falls . . . on stall calls."
Axe_Spartan 205 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Not surprising a senior world champ crushing a junior world champ I still think it is impressive scoring 16-5 against a junior world and pac-12 champ.
swoopdown 631 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Tbar, yes. He was backing, playing edge and Rogers had all the attacks for quite a while mid match. Yes, that would bad called stalling. Your perspective is so skewed you are hard to pay attention to. Nickal gets early lead and Rodgers has to press action. Walking toward Nickal and pressing into Nickal is like loading the gun, putting it to your head and inviting him to pull the trigger. Stalling? Maybe, but only if the ref calls it quickly and as long as you're shooting more than your opponent (as Nickal did) an unlikely call. What this demonstrated was excellent situational awareness and smart wrestling.
tommytechnique 68 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Gwiz and snyder are so far ahead of the field... So excited for that final. Has to be the biggest heavyweight matchup of all time I remember Neal / Lesnar was highly anticipated. The match ended up being fairly dull as I recall. wrestlingnerd 3,012 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 I still think it is impressive scoring 16-5 against a junior world and pac-12 champ. Not to mention: different weights! That IS a big factor.

wrestlingnerd 3,012 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Gulibon to the BBQ line. He was looking like he could make a run for AA at one point but no dice this year.
wrestlingnerd 3,012 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Tshirts Jr. goes down to Finesilver from Duke 3-2. It's the NW roster cap.

TBar1977 4,602 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Tbar, yes. He was backing, playing edge and Rogers had all the attacks for quite a while mid match. Yes, that would bad called stalling. Your perspective is so skewed you are hard to pay attention to. No more skewed than anyone else. You guys are accusing a guy who had 15 points and who won every scramble of stalling when his opponent was just pushing forward.
VakAttack 4,042 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Palacio just knocked Mathews from Edinboro into a full backflip.
TBar1977 4,602 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Its the rules this year bro. Backing out of bounds is supposed to warrant an automatic stall call unless its waived off by the ref as continuation of action Multiple times Nickal was backed out by Rogers either on a shot or with underhooks. Was Nickal being aggressive and taking shots and scoring points? Of course, he is Bo Nickal. But that doesn't make him immune to the rules Its frustrating to see this called so inconsistently. In this match it wouldn't have mattered in the slightest, but Anthony Collica is now an AA because the ref couldn't figure out how to apply the new rule And the rule for being pushed out of bounds is stalling on your opponent. wreferee 8 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 Did anyone see what Huntley did to get DQed? Nothing. Absolutely NOTHING. Gave up 2 for stalling in 1st period and 2 more in second. Pathetic inaction by a 6 year grad student vs unseeded frosh. Huntley gets my vote for the "Biondo trophy" unofficially awarded annually to Michigan captain exhibiting least effort at end of career. Are you even aware of the medical condition Anthony dealt with his senior year? You are a pathetic turd. Anthony has more guts and integrity in one of his shoelaces than you will ever have. VakAttack 4,042 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 This just makes me angrier that he lost to Gordon fracking Wolf. He should be in the semifinals.
swoopdown 631 Report post Posted March 18, 2016 (edited) Morelli tried to pin himself a couple of times but was unsuccessful- he should patent his dynamic new "sloth" roll. He looked like a manatee trying to sun his belly. VT McFadden didn't have to work much for an easy win Guilibon and Morelli both with baffling performances.
