what is former PSU national champ Matt Brown up to these days? might not be a bad guy to get on the coaching staff

It'd be great if the next coach could somehow incorporate Ivan Ivanov into being a club coach for their guys to be supplement the college training with a healthy side of Greco. Ivan is a great person and an even more amazing coach. The program could really use his resources in that room.

 

 

Chris Owens started that connection years ago, at least I think he started it. He most certainly has been the face of BSU wresting in that facility. BSU wrestling and the BWC train there at times although not much with Ivan. He's traveling all over selling his workout equipment.

It would have had to happen under Chris's reign. Ivan was at the OEC in Michigan until 2009.

 

With the traveling you mentioned, I have to wonder if coaching is on Ivan's radar much anymore.

Whoa now - be careful throwing around derogatory nicknames for other schools' mascots ... especially when your school is Oregon St.

 

 

Ha. So true.  If the whole Beaver thing wasn't bad enough, Nike was able to successfully get OS to change the logo from a Beaver to a nutria.  NUTRIA NATION!

Sure hope new coaches get Boise State back where they were a few years ago and even higher. A great place to live and go to school. The nearby mountains and deserts are excellent hunting and the rivers and lakes even better fishing.

 

Hope the school moves up and helps all Western wrestling to get better so Title condenders are a normal thing.
