BigTimeFan 1,141 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 Geez Yasdani with the 10-0 TF over Ringer. That guy was good when he beat Pico, better when he took a silver at 70kg, but what I saw today was incredible. 1 Perry reacted to this

BigTimeFan 1,141 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 J'Den ends the period up 2-2 vs Karimi. Once again he gave up the first TD. It's a pattern.
Perry 1,429 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 Has there ever been a wrestler who moves quite lite Cox? The near splits/stand up (I don't know what else to call this) was incredibly impressive. US wins 6-2 with an incredible last minute counter by Cox.

Flying-Tiger 617 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 (edited) My God, JDen is a freak. It was like the Iranian was bouncing off a wall there at the end. Big, strong and slick, could take the world by storm like JB did in 2011. Edited June 12, 2016 by Flying-Tiger

BigTimeFan 1,141 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 Is there anything not to like about J'Den Cox? Not only did he just beat two of the top wrestlers in the world today, but he is a gentleman like we rarely see. I'm sure a lot of you noticed how gracious he was at the end of the mat? He's just all around amazing. Now, moving on to the wrestling. It's like he's evolving before our eyes. His preternatural mat awareness, his ability not to make all the mistakes someone like Ruth made in his freestyle career, his ability to score with all kinds of attacks and so on and so on. BigTimeFan 1,141 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 When J'Den won the olympic trials I would have said - and may have said - that there is no way J'Den could beat Karimi at this point. How wrong I was! And make no mistake about it, Iran's team came here ready to rumble.
Gantry 1,872 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 The Iranian Cox beat teched everyone at worlds but Sadulaev, we knew he was for real already but he's for real.
PRyan2012 351 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 (edited) If we had Burroughs this would be over. Now it comes down to a bumped up 213 to heavyweight named Jake Varner! Underdog? Fingers crossed! Edited June 12, 2016 by PRyan2012
Flying-Tiger 617 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 Iran challenging whether Snyder is human or not, lol. That was awesome. 1 BigTimeFan reacted to this
BigTimeFan 1,141 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 Snyder with the win and the almost tech. Now it's all up to Varner. GO VARNER.

Karimi is awesome but has had some losses since the worlds. I am amazed by how far Cox has come so fast.

Perry 1,429 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 Snyder with an 8-1 win. Last match will decide the winner.
Perry 1,429 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 those of you who seen yazdani wrestle. what are his chances against burroughs? I'd favor Burroughs - he's so good at wrestling from space with that double and will always find a way to get to it. That said - Yazdani is really good. A loss wouldn't necessarily surprise me, but I won't predict it. Now Gadeuv vs Yazdani could be really interesting...
