I find this a pretty compelling argument when many on here argue that our guys should stay in International Freestyle competition instead of pursuing a MMA career.

Romero is going to be the new champ. He will obliterate Bisping. The gap in athleticism and overall grappling is a mile wide. The fight will either be over by the third round in Romero's favor or Romero will gas badly and give away a split decision.

Everyone always talks about Romero gassing but he has like 4 or 5 3rd round stoppages. He even came from behind against Brunson after dropping the 1st 2 rounds in a grapple-centric fight. Assuming he does get the next shot, yes, he'll crush Bisping. Only Rockhold, Jacare, or Weidman have the skill set to beat him right now.

The difference between a three round fight and a five round fight is enormous. Those last two rounds are exceptionally difficult unless you have trained specifically for them and paced yourself appropriately in the first three rounds. Romero is extremely unproven as a five round fighter, and he has gassed even in three round fights fairly recently, so calling out his tank as potentially suspect is very fair.
